G'day Awakening,
We are fast approaching being another year older as a community, Awakening will officially be 7 years old on November 8th! We continue to provide an escape from the pandemic for many of our players this year and most importantly a stable and inviting place to relive SWG Pre-CU! Thank you all, for continuing to be a welcoming and helpful community.
To celebrate the 7 years we have been voyaging through this galaxy as a community, we will be having the usual weekend long festivities (Restart on the 5th – Restart on the 8th). The event will include a commemorative set of paintings, XP bonus and a celebratory badge for your characters. There will also be numerous other events.
This is how the weekend’s celebrations will work:
- Two random paintings from the commemorative collection will be awarded to the first toon on your account to login after the scheduled server restart on the 5th of November (this mechanism will be on until the next server restart).
- A special commemorative badge will be awarded to each toon logged in between the usual scheduled restarts on the 5th and 8th.
- All experience gained will be doubled (from the base rate of 1x or 100%) for the period between scheduled restarts, this means that the experience gains will be increased from their current level of 200% (base, plus the on-going bonus due to COVID), to 3x or 300% of the base value.
- Three lotteries will be initiated at some stage over the weekend, and be drawn in one week’s time from the start date. A staff member will announce when they are placed and their location.
Lottery Prizes include:- Tier One: 1 Rare House of the Winner's Choice.
- Tier Two: 1 Rare Vehicle of the Winner's Choice
- Tier Three: 1 Prize Token
- Screenshot Scavenger Hunt! On Friday after reset 7 NPCs will be scattered throughout the galaxy to represent a selection of the Awakening staff members.
Prizes will be awarded as follows:- Minor prize for the first to find each NPC (one prize per NPC) and mail ROGUE its location (lucky dip from a prize bag)
- Grand prize for the first player to find and mail ROGUE the correct Location of all 7 NPCs (player's choice of a rare vehicle from the list below)

- Live Events! Several live player events will be held on Saturday & Sunday to celebrate our 7th anniversary.
- A Dice of Death game will be held upon the completion of each event. With a choice of one item, from a selection procured out of the Prize Hall being the reward to the person the Dice of Death leaves standing at the end!
- The Keren Race Track (1396, 2686 Naboo) will be OPEN for prizes from server reset Friday to server reset Monday. Players will need to aim for the fastest track time in order to receive prizes (as usual, the server's external race track logging will provide these times to us). A first and second prize will be awarded for characters without force run 2 or 3, as well as a first prize for characters with force run 2 or 3!
Prizes are as follows:- First place, character without force run 2 or 3, one prize token
- Second place, character without force run 2 or 3, a tape of choice from the Rogue Outpost City Hall
- First place, Jedi character with force run 2 or 3, a choice of a flawless pearl or a prize token
We, as a staff team would like to thank everyone for helping us make it to 7 years of continuous operation, whether that be as a player or as a staff member. Without all of you Awakening wouldn't be here 7 years on from its inception. We look forward to whatever may lie before us in the years ahead! We hope to have you all along for the ride with us!
