On a side note ,if your a bounty hunter in the blood Awakening is the #1 server to play this profession on out of the emu's out there .

Not just because fastblast is pumped up , there are many other fun options too. You just gotta experiment with different builds and weapons . With the right combination you can have a nice long fight .

bounty hunters have had a lot of changes over the time the server has been going and adapted to them

Bounty hunter is the "bane" of the the Jedi as intended

But now with combat loggers it's reached a dead end

I have also noticed that sometimes a BH loses the TEF if the jedi softlogs I just have not been able to reproduce this consistently.

If you fancy coming on to TC i can reproduce this a little more consistently for you

It is becoming a regular thing with certain individuals regardless of if it's 1v1.. 2v1 or 3v1. I will not state any names. This maybe not considered an exploit or whatever you want to call it however it is ruining the whole Bh v jedi. Which is a major aspect of the game. I realise this will never be changed from the previous posts but I would just like to state for the record that certain Jedis that do this regularly will generally get hunted more and you will not be able to grind/farm or generally log in without a bh behind you. One last thing Curehead - I wouldn't type it in spatial chat. I was more than satisfied with your corpse on the ground after you fell for the trap of myself and Terrance stating we was off planet, I mean really?

When 1 fastblast can hit for over 3k on a full template Knight....then i see this as an issue

Even an exceptional weapon shouldn't even come close to this as jedi heal for 1500 every 4-5 secs?? i forget its late

Some other notables:
BH's get the opener guaranteed
Fastblast dmg can outpace Jedi healing in some cases
Jedi block vs. BH is extremely weak...especially when the Jedi isn't MLS.
Most jedi have 0404 Defender or heavy defender along with MLS just to semi-counter BH's
4004 LS should at least be relevant 1v1 against a BH and it's not. The block is nowhere to be found.

I've been on both sides, BH and Jedi and in my opinion there is nothing wrong with fastblast, my jedi has no defences other than MLS the key is to use foods and fight smart, I rarely win in 2v1 but I sure as hell make em work for it in 1v1 there's just a few bh that can take me out if im even semi prepared.

If BH didnt have the enhanced fastblast this server would soon be all jedi wars, there has to be that balance. Do not forget that you chose to go for jedi it was never a secret that you would be hunted and that BH here is a real contender against you.

It's pretty balanced considering, If bhs didn't have Fastblast or traps they wouldn't be beneficial to the game and jedi would just run around freely. However if you have the right buffs/food/drinks/skill as Dunka mentioned above it's not as difficult as some of you are making out. I have been on both ends and I am in the same boat I have no defenses on my jedi but still survive and kill BH's. If you play it well against a BH you should not need to run however 95% of you do. If you run when it's 1v1, Most BH's will bring two next time.

Hunters who are converted Jedi are some of the most dangerous individuals at the terminals. I love it.

Outside of that. Jedi who run are always so offended when we come back with 3 or 4 deep, or more. They run at first, thinking they are winning. They start using words like "unfair" and "dishonorable". When I remind them of that as they are floating in the water about to log out, they never seem to understand.

I see no problem with the way BH and Jedi are set up on this server. Its common knowledge that FB is amp'd up and traps work on jedi on the server. If you choose to unlock, you do so knowing the challenges already.

I know jedi don't want to loose xp(especially baby jedi), but there are ways to negate that. Always keep enough xp banked, so if you do get killed you don't go negative is one way. I don't really see the point in combat logging/water logging/hiding in a house 24/7, the first 2 should be exploits in my opinion. This just delays the inevitable, and the time you sit waiting is time lost getting xp, not to mention putting a larger target on yourself going forward. Depending on how far you are into your grind it is possible to make up that loss in a buff session. I have been killed by Joker, Nooya, Fishface, Terrence/stalk, Maggot duo. I either had enough banked , or was able to rez myself and continue grinding and make up the loss in a buff session. Lose 3hrs of my time to regain lost xp and then continue my grind right away, or spend days hiding in a house to wear off viz. I will take the death so I can get back to the grind quicker. A death sucks, but its not the end of the world. Fight the BH(s), I look at it as practice for when I'm full temp.

If i'm out grinding and I see a BH coming my way, I'm gonna try to flee at first to get to a safe place so that I can get prepared and then will go out and face my fate(Fishface can back me up on this). If i'm caught out in the open, its a reenactment of Custard's last stand. I take the death and continue on.

Good read. Our intent was to keep Jedi pop in control which I think we more than achieved. I agree I think you have to make a choice, hide or fight. If you choose to hide you will spend a lot of time doing so. If you chose to fight chances are you will lose xp. Regardless the sink is satisfied, it has drained you.

im not qualified for this conversation but..if i was jedi grinding my template and a BH comes for me i have to assume you are full template and i was not you very first mark. where the chances of you losing to me is not going to happen so therefore i would have to take advantage of everything to stay alive.

BUT,

in the real world if you came after me there is no safety in me going for a swim, you can still shoot so.

the real issue is that one didnt take enough care to stay off the termials.

Personally...water logging is lame and have zero intention on ever doing it (I will run for the 15 minutes if I don't feel like fighting), but you could still try to use bomb droids and kill them, am I not correct? Not sure if there's enough time to kill them when they go LD though. Perhaps if the LD timer was increased to either 45 sec to 1 minute? This would allow for a kill for the BH, yet...if the Jedi only soft logs, not a big deal.

I'm also glad that bomb droiding in private structures was labeled as an exploit. I mean, the door is private and essentially "locked", how the heck did your magical droid get inside? I still put droid detection units (not sure if they work) by all my doors still, just in case lol.

Well I guess it's time for the ol' Aquaknight himself to chime in, I have done this a decent amount, was told it is not an exploit AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT IN COMBAT, so I've made sure IF I do this I'm not in combat, and just so the BHs know, if I do this it's just to piss you off, with FR2 and total heal I could run but I enjoy pissing people off
