Just as the title suggests.
I tried the "myself with 9 of my closest alts" to start a town and level some politician exp. The town blew up after 24 hours, much to my disappointment and credit loss.
Site staff said specifically in a ticket about this that no one can have their own city (mayor and 9 alts). Fair enough. However, neither did they state what the minimum player requirement was either. Anyone know? Thanks.

Yes, 10 houses in the town. 9 alts declared at the houses. The mayor candidate at the town hall after I dropped it. Put a million into the credit fund for the hall. Disappeared after 24 hours. Left with 10 houses.
Put the houses in a 5x2 row, dropped the hall right behind them. Only thing I could think is I put the houses down first and declared residence prior to the hall drop. Which I didn't think mattered as all of my alts and mayor got emails about the town going down and were able to vote. As that was the first thing I did after dropping the hall.
When I opened the ticket, as this has worked in the past since I've already leveled most of politician by doing this. Site staff (no call outs) said no. No individually owned towns. I was out my hall and cash. However, no minimum requirement for actual players, not toons, was ever disclosed.

I think ( could be wrong here it’s happened like once before) that you need to drop hall THEN do houses

From what I know, if a character has already declared in a house, when you change it to the new house it take 24 hours to confirm it and you go other the 24 hours of the city hall people confirmation.

question..
can you declare residence in a city hall?
i did my 9 alt city i declared residence in a house(at least i think i did)..not the city hall so it would total 10 declared homes..could this be the reason his city hall went poof?
if not
then i have also read that it takes 24 hours for a residence change https://swgawakening.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=691
i would surmise that the city hall is on a separate timer of 24 hours maybe? and that expired prior to the residence change?? the game saw 9 in the city and declared a failed city?
but you said it worked before putting the houses down first then the city hall..
when i grinded politician i put the hall down first then got 9 alts and myself into that city in that 24 hour timer. Id have to agree the hall has to go down first...but you said you did it the other way around and got exp so..i dunno

I'll try again doing the hall first. Won't put as much cash into it this time around. If it fails I'm out a few hundred k. NBD.
The way I'm thinking is now you need at least 2 people to do it. I'll test it out though.
