Since publish 9 rolled out, I been playing other characters more than the once infamous Bounty Hunter. Particularly Jedi characters for PVE. As I have been flinging my laser sword around, i was thinking what would make the game a little more fun for both jedi and my dusty bounty hunter. Plus I have been pondering about other issues as well.
1. Jedi - I would suggest increasing saberblock at Novice Lightsaber to +30 block and reducing Master Light Saber's block to +5 saber block. This would grant 80 saber block at xxx4 lightsaber. Master Lightsaber would still have 85 saber block to ranged attacks. Jedi could if they choose to drop master lightsaber and pick up other force skills at the expense of master lightsaber but still have good defenses against a ranged bounty hunter. On the flip side, that 5 percent loss of saber block is a little but needed boost to ranged attacks getting through. Master Lightsaber will still have the benefits of better saberblock, better attacks, and best lightsaber crafting, plus the higher generation saber.
2. Add 5th generation lightsaber back into game and move Generation 4 saber back to fourth box.
3. Change all the brawler types of toughness (unarmed toughness, one-handed toughness, two-handed toughness, polearm toughness) to work exactly like jedi toughness. If master defenders have to take the full damage of a lightsaber, shouldn't a non-jedi brawler class do as well. These fights go on forever and the jedi just runs away because its a waste of time and condition on their xtals/pearls. Brawler classes can still rely on their other defenses to negate.
4. Rifleman - Give rifleman damage bonuses when firing from the Prone Position against standing targets only while in the "take cover" state. This would give a reason for players to have those "defense against posture change up" tapes. Rifleman gets an additional 25 percent damage bonus while firing prone if the target(s) is standing (only applies if the rifleman is prone and taking cover). On the flip side, Rifleman lose damage bonus to attacks against an opponent that is knocked down.
5. Deflate the credit rewards in game from missions and reduce credits in all bank accounts by 90 percent. I found the npc quest giver rewards to be completely out of sync with the rest of the economy. It would encourage players to explore the rest of the game rather than taking missions to get big credit payouts. So if a mission is currently paying say 20k, it would now pay 2k. However, this would make the older veteran players immensely rich in a deflated economy so reduce bank credits by 90 percent. Player has 100 million in the bank, he/she would now have 10 million banked. Free market forces would cause price drop in the player economy to match the value of work needed to obtain credits.

Suggestion for changes to jedi, rifleman, economy.

Sounds like some Socialism-isms
In all seriousness I guess I don’t see the point of #5. Removing some zeros from quests and missions and from bank accounts won’t make much of a positve difference. Merchants will be forced to lower the prices of their goods to make up for the changes. If you have people getting starter missions prices for medium to high end quests, then they won’t want to pay 300k for a set of armor or crate of goods.
I agree there should be a large missions payout between a difficult npc mob and a Jedi Knight. Risk vs reward and all. I don’t see the reward in adjusting credits earned or stored, maybe explain that better...is it just for BH? If not think about other credit related issues like maintenance costs, etc.

On suggestion #5, I'm not a socialist, quite the contrary, more libertarian than you would have guessed. It's fighting credit inflation by an out of control central bank. It would be for all mission reward types. I see a disparity between all those npc quest rewards and mission payouts. On the flip side, could adjust all the NPC quest givers payouts, but I think that would be more work. Alot of work is done by devs adding quests and most are not even attempted by new players because it's much more profitable to just take missions for cash. It's not high on my list. You would also have to adjust housing and city costs. It's the high time of the GCW, the original films depicted money was far more scarce than plentiful based on the amounts spoken of for certain services. I'm sure the empire were doing Crete style bank bail-ins on depositors to pay for their vast war machine.

It’s not just house and city maintenance. Vehicle repair, harvestors, factories, npc money drop rates, etc. once you adjust all that you’ve made no change other than remove zeros. Nothing is inflated. If you adjust one thing the everything else has to be adjusted down. That not really fixing anything, it’s just changing it for no reason other than seeing lower figures. If it’s all balanced out then what’s the point.
45k rancor mission
350k composite armor set
10k buffs
500 per day maintenance fee
Knocked down to:
4.5k rancor mission
35k composite armor set
1k buffs
50 per day maintnece fee
It all balances out to be the same. You spend the same time and energy for the same reward. All that’s happened in the process is ask the devs to make changes that change nothing but appearances in the end.
