Any chance we could get the "blue frogs" on the test center, to tryout templates or weapon combos without having to regrind there as well?

If you want it you earn it, Awakening prides itself on that, no sneak peaks for new templates or other weapons. Just how it has always been.

In the past frogs weren't used because certain players took advantage and were trying and figure out their Jedi unlock requirements. It made us decide to do away with them at the time. The test center's purpose is not for players to try out different templates. Test center is used for testing the implementation of new features or bug fixes.

It definitely doesn't defeat the purpose of the test server, the test server is intended to be a test ground for unstable code (bug fixes/new content) that is currently in development for the live play server, mainly by staff at that stage. When the code gets reasonably close to the deployment stage we will sometimes call on the player base to test it out, usually only the people interested in that specific patch will come to test it and they already have the required professions or equipment to test it.

Also as Cynar said, people like to find ways to use things like the blue frog to their unfair advantage back on live, since test is a direct clone of live anything you do there would be the same on live, negating RNG rolls, so, the unlock method for a said character would be able to be attained in part through the blue frog as well as other various things. In short there are too many unfair advantages and shortcuts that players can use to achieve an unfair outcome on live through the blue frogs, if we need a specific thing tested out for us and we need more people to do so then we may grant them the professions or equipment to test it, but that doesn't happen very often at all, if ever...?
