So Jedi vs Jedi PvP separate. Factional non Jedi PvP separate. So a BH can be counted in both PvP circles? And to say they are doing it for only the 400 FRS is completely daft. Sorry to say. It's added incentive to these actions. In the last 2 weeks PvP has dropped massively. Allot of players just don't want to deal with the harassment.

The answer seems everyone play neutral toons. Don't log on your Jedi and starve the players that insist on making poor decisions. If we can't have fun. We can ensure they can't either. It may destroy the server PvP. But we are on that road inevitably anyways it seems.

In general:
I always felt that PVP in SWG was a thing everyone could enjoy and participate in, of course others (Jedi's & BH's) had more to gain than the ordinary toons around.

Current state:
This event probably took a headstart in pvp in the beginning of November - but as it progressed people started to think about:

=> 'What happens if I get killed, I may feed the top players from the opposing faction more kills so they maybe win the event?'

I think I am not the only one who was thinking this way.

Especially this points hurts the PVP engangement we all want to have.

Conclusion
If we maybe tweak the event rules (I currently do not have a good idea) it would result in the desired outcome 'to raise the pvp action'.

I hope we can stay neutral to this discussion so we can find a solution for it...

Cheers

I'm terrible about this. I'd run out unbuffed from the cloner and try and zurge someone who was close to dying, only to die myself over and over. Plus I suck at pvp, so anyone coming after me knows I'm an easy kill.

Lol static. The all or nothing rush back to the cloner! The issue has been people cloner camping unfortunately.

I have to disagree. Been lots of PvP these past few months.

The tokens are a bonus. I still be hunting regardless for big credit payouts. The FRS jedi are going attack overts and TEFd coverts for FRS. For the record I died more than won. I attacked only jedi and made 4th place. I came in top three for dieing the most.

Most of my combat alts have died atleast once or more to dark jedis. It comes with risks of destroying their favorite hide outs or being tef'd as a covert. It's part of a game.

The civil war between the rebellion and empire is alive and well. Heroes and villians abound. You may become a casualty in the great galactic war if not too careful. The risks are well known.

Guys, try to relax and have some fun. Don't over-think things. Sometimes it's ok just to go out and stand in the rain and live a little. Remember it is a game. The "state of ________" will always be up and down. This Pre-CU server has survived much longer than SOE's version. We had less money and much smaller staff. It'll be ok, just go play.

@Narrk: I am not talking about the last monthS iam talking about the last month, singular.
@Cynar: You are right, having fun is the part what games are about and all the staff members of awakening are doing a great job keeping awakening a great experience.
Tho big and minor issues/bugs need to be adressed (accordingly) and fixed, or at least stated why they are not getting fixed.

In general we all agree communication (were it is allowed) is key. In all terms :)

I had many pvp encounters in last two weeks from my experience. It may be less for others. But if you get out there and look for it, it's there. Ask me when I'm in game, I'll tell you where the action is. But it will be some FRS jedi or more doing something somewhere. There are slow nights. But far and few. Also keep in mind we just had thanksgiving. But I never noticed a drop off in hunting jedi.

Bugs not getting fixed at a steady pace has always has to do with lack of time from the volunteer developers. It doesn’t need to be explained as that has been explained for 4 years. They make do with what they can in what small amount of time they can provide.

It’s a lot easier to wait to squash bugs with a major publish instead of constantly implementing unstable code submitted to emu. Been there many times, the dev team pushed emu commits frequently, but there were so many bugs it created major headaches for Awakening.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s easier to wait for emu to squash the bugs and let Awakenings devs focus on custom content and tweaks for this server. As far as population goes there are many emu servers, but the last 2 years they have been dropping off like flies. 3 die, 2 more pop up and 6 months or less they are gone. Eventually things will settle and we’ll be back to 2 or 3 competitor servers, new movies and renewed interest will happen.

Just have to be patient and not lose hope.
