Yearly Accolade Award Presentations – Recipients Announcement 2018

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce the winners of 2018’s Accolade Awards, but before I do so I would just like to say, though these badges go to the most standout members of Awakening in the eyes of the ECs (next year it will be you, the community that decides who wins these awards), this does not mean that there aren’t numerous others that deserve recognition for their community involvement here at Awakening! I want to thank every member of the community that strives to help make the server a better place. Whether that be through helping a new comer get started with a few credits and some starter equipment, or someone who helps others with high end PvE content or PvP content, and especially the highly skilled and dedicated crafters we have here that keep everyone stocked up on equipment they need as well as a massive array of other areas that I have not mentioned here. So, thank you all for the amazing work you have done and continue to do!

Without further ado here are the winners of the Accolade Awards for 2018:

Good Samaritan – Absinthe

Absinthe is the recipient of this year’s Good Samaritan Accolade for the way in which she selflessly gives of her time to help others out, whether it be with her knowledge of the game, her own items and equipment, or a place to call home in this galaxy. I think everyone will agree that Absinthe is pretty much one of the first names mentioned to newbies in general chat and she has made Bedrock a flourishing hub of activity on Tatooine for new players and established ones alike.

Fascinating Background – Tela

Tela is the winner of this year’s Fascinating Background Accolade due to his history here on Awakening, he has worked tirelessly over the years to build a name for himself on Awakening, he started as just a small time crafter and has been able to become one of the most highly respected crafters on the server

Brave Soldier - Ankton for PvE

Ankton is the PvE recipient for the Brave Soldier Accolade this year due to his immense knowledge of high end PvE content in SWG and the demonstration of his prior willingness to help out others within the community so they too can tackle high end PvE content themselves, he has led groups through the Corvette, Geo Caves, Fort Tusken, Krayt Graveyard, Nightsister Cave, Death Watch Bunker, Jedi Sentinels and numerous other high end PvE encounters.

Brave Soldier - Feuwei for PvP

Feuwei is the PvP recipient of this year’s Brave Soldier Accolade due to his in-depth knowledge of PvP in SWG and advanced level of skill in PvP. Many players have experienced his dangerous templates first hand! He has also won this award due to his willingness to teach others about PvPing in SWG by imparting his knowledge of PvP template building and how to be an effective soldier on the battlefield, as well as in more recent times operating a successful PvP tournament which he is making into a monthly fixture on the server where others can participate in various types of battles and learn how to handle themselves in PvP encounters.

Interesting Personage – Sionix

Sionix being the recipient of the Interesting Personage Award, I doubt is an unexpected outcome for all those who have heard of her crazy in-game story. Amongst the server she has a reputation as the Voodoo Chef that operates the people recycler (the Serenity cloner) that turns people into numerous dishes which she allegedly sells on to unsuspecting customers, this rumour started out as a joke by Lassic and Veriscythe, which to this day has been told to new players by the pair.

Professional Demeanour – Mothman

Mothman is an outstanding player who is rivalled by no other for his dedication to keeping resource collectors up to date on current Awakening resources through the website Galaxy Harvester, for years he has been the most reliable and professional contributor to the Awakening Galaxy Harvester database and for this he has secured the Professional Demeanour Accolade. Without Mothman, Awakening crafters would have surely missed hundreds of server best resource spawns for every profession. Even through the addition of the auto update to Galaxy Harvester on Awakening, Mothman can still be seen verifying current resources and adding others before the auto updater from time to time.

I am honored to receive this accolade and look forward to many more great adventures here on Awakening. I will still use this platform to encourage anyone new to awakening or even new to PvP to give me a shout if you have any question or need help with anything. I would love to see more people get into it and willing to help any way I can. Hope to see you ALL on the battlefield.
