I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has unwittingly helped me to complete something I have been working on for a very long time. Last night Ibbi finally managed to master Weaponsmith. It might not sound like much, but I have been working on it since..Mon Aug 31, 2015 11:33 pm. Those who know me know that I am really stubborn when it comes to doing things the hard way.

Since this is a "hard" server, I thought I would try it old school and not grind out a single item. Every weapon I created was sold on the Eisley bazaar or in my New Destiny shop (plus a handful of face to face custom orders). I have never really advertised. The initial Artisan XP was gained by making Artisan weapons then shifted over to WS weapons once I got novice. All weapons were created without practicing and I specifically chose not to create anything on days with boosted XP. The weapon quality that first year was awful, but those in need never complained :-) I even pushed ahead and managed to sell failed assemblies and blown experimentations on the bazaar. Later quality wasn't too bad since I went up the experimentation line first. I would guess that most sales were the holy trinity of DL44, DH17, and DLT20. After those three, D18s, metal staffs, 1-h and 2-h swords were the most popular. Everything else sold pretty slowly. Sales were actually really strong my first year because of higher server population, but have since leveled off as the server has matured. That said, my sales have been steady for the past several years and speak to at least some measure of population stability. Total sales since I started have been roughly 4500-5000 weapons.

Looking back, I could have probably finished a year and a half ago, but RL work cut my play time. Besides that, the implementation of bonus XP tied to donations really tossed a wrench in the works. Nevertheless, it has been a project I always found worth trying to finish. Many thanks to all who purchased my weapons over the years. I look forward to many years ahead of crafting excellent weapons for any and all who may need them...now to find some tapes...

Congratulations on your dedication to your values, it has paid off, you probably understand your profession better than most who grind through it in no time as a result of the time you spent working through it. I look forward to seeing you master crafted weapons! :)
