How is the RP on this Server?

Unfortunately, the type of roleplay Holowood seems to be centered around isn't the kind I'm searching for. Not into a Star Wars-style hollywood. Hopefully there are pockets elsewhere.

The only RP city that I know of is Holowood in Corellia.

I rollplay and so does my guild FISH. I am a mon calimarian separatist and so is my guild. we have established Mon Cala north of Coronet. Mon Calamarian only guild that is prejudice and suspicious of all humankind. That being said, we do have non mon cal alts but we have second guild for them, ofcourse no humans allowed. Now, we dont always rollplay because we have to deal with questions concerning game mechanics. but for the most part we rollplay with outsiders.

I personally RP sometimes. Most of the time if i am playing and someone asks me stuff i basically act on my responses. I can tell you that in Basilisk there are no RP and it is super lonely.

Presently my wife and I are grinding out our characters to get their builds set up. Once we're done with that we'll definitely be looking to do some RP. Have always RP'd my characters in live on any server I found myself on and am excited to see how RP goes here. I just always try to make sure my guys are geared and ready before diving into RP. I love SWG, but more than anything I love RPing. We've ran many rp guilds ourselves over the years and know it's a very fluid thing. Between the hubby and I we've run or been part of a gamut of different RP styles, mostly criminal/merc/etc. MSC, DREAD, SBE, and PURE are just a few of the guilds we ran RP with, for those that might recognize one of them.

We haven't ran into many RPer's online and I hope it's not because everyone has given up, because it does take a while for things to get going... so keep trying. My rambling does have someone of a question, I've noticed in past statements here various types of RP not being what some are looking for.

So, what type of RP are you looking for? I know I like playing a mercenary and would love a group of like minds to join with us in our attempt at stirring up random RP in Mos Entha. But saying that I know there needs to be other's RPing craftsmen, entertainers, etc. Funny, but our more 'criminal' guilds always seem to have more RP that was accepted by the overall community, lol.

Are there RPer's still out there, and if so... what are you looking for? How is the RP on Awakening?

I will be working on a couple of different types of events to get things started. I also would like to get a dedicated rp night where folks can drop in and hangout for some spontaneous meetings. I will also have a solo/group quest line going soon. Post here what nights are good and what times. A dedicated server rp hub would be awesome. I have been playing on the EMU servers for a while now (awakening is my fourth home). I know there are many challenges to overcome on these servers. As Yoda and I would say , Try you must! So let's get started. I have at least one of the following characters logged in every day: Pal-Dan, Lime, Jel. Send me a tell and let's meet up.

The ones that I know of are The Cantina Rats, Fishermen's Horizon on Talus, contact Arrin. The city of Holowood on Corellia contact Acroyear, Yekua. The guild Crimson Nova Clan contact Jel (criminal gang rp). The following guilds are no longer active Holo, Syn, and Virus. There are are a couple new guilds but I can't speak for them about if they are rp oriented.

Brand new to Awakening today, but I roleplayed on Starsider from launch day to closing day. If you need a slightly used smuggler who hates jedi (both ic and ooc, lol), let me know.

It seems like a lot of people in this thread are approaching rp as something to do after you've maxed out your character, but I've always done it as I was leveling and grouping or whatever, even if it's just banter as opposed to actual story arcs. Tends to make the bullcrap mmo skinner box design elements bearable.

I'm new to the server and I'd really like to get in on the RP aspect of the game. Being a sandbox, it seems perfectly suited to such things. I just wish more people were into it.
