You are not alone in your addiction... back in LIVE I used to "find" weird stuff all over the planetary maps... later I found some of the various Fan Created "Adventurer" maps that were pretty good at documenting a lot of the stranger items (e.g. deserted camps, broken bridges, random skulls and campfires, etc.)... If you do a Google Image search on "swg maps" you can usually see some of them... often called "Adventurer" maps... they usually have the planet name in upper left corner, use a waypoint grid system for easy exploring and list other items like Jedi Shrines, POIs, battlegrounds, major Theme Park starts, etc.
