Trying to make sure when I get the discs in I'm ready to go, and double checking all the steps I need to take.
Step 4 - Ensure your system is up to date (especially XP and Vista)
-Ensure you have .NET version 4 (How to check) and ALL Windows Updates/Patches have been applied (via Windows Update).
-Ensure you have the latest version of Direct X. Click here to check
What is the actual file I am looking for to make sure I have for .NET version 4? This is a bit more involved than I typically get in computer files.....really don't know what I'm looking for to verify....

Think I'm good. On Windows 7. I saw some .NET Framework 4 stuff in the last update. Guessing/Hoping that's it. Thanks for the response Ed
