it would likely be combat type professions if that was the case.
it would be a little silly for some people to have to kill TKMs, and others to kill Mdancers.
I think your getting a little bit "glass half empty"

well cynar mentioned ranger ... rangers are not good pvp classes really either, LOL. Regardless if it is anything along those lines ... and the current lack of interest in pvp ... it'll be a good year before someone unlocks then.

If PvP was an absolute requirement for everyone. Then the path to Jedi wouldn't be different for everyone. As the Devs have said multiple times. Try again.

Becareful... let me help a little...

I definitely didn't say the path is always completely different. I assure you there may be commonalities among players but possibly varying degrees... and in that alone, the path would differ.

Always loved when people would hang out in Town waiting for the old fella... in fact, it's said he waits until you are fighting NS Elders or Ancient Krayts, stands about 100m away and if you don't stop and talk to him within 5 mins, he runs away. Then wait up to a week to revisit.

When he finally visited Hefe back in LIVE, I was so busy zooming around Lok mega-killing/harvesting for a big Lok Leather contract I had as a Ranger, I had another player chasing after me SHOUTING in spatial trying to let me know that the Old Man was chasing my speederbike on foot... that Old Man was pretty fleet of foot back in the day!

My experience has nothing to do with the old man and jedi, but you reminded me of a good LOL i had on my first month here. I remember calling my dark trooper faction pet to help kill creatures and the like while i was grinding pistoleer. One time while I was on my swoop heading towards a mission from Coronet, somebody shouted in general chat "Whoever just drove by my house, you have a dark trooper chasing you. I hope you're buffed! lol". It was a nice gesture and all, but i LOL'd when they said that because it was *MY* dark trooper following me :p

I just have one philosophical question, why would a jedi that is pure of heart go around slaughtering people and animals just to get stronger? If unlocking jedi means countless deaths of all those connected to the force, that just doesn't sit well with me.

Yessir, I have. I was going to attempt a pacifist path for enlightenment into jedi, but I was informed by players on the server killing SOMETHING was necessary for unlock. Unfortunate.
