Sorry if some of these are noobish, but i never really got much into crafting on Live. Would like to get more involved in it here. Finished up Master A/S last night, but have no clue what i am supposed to do from here LOL. Have a bunch of questions i was hoping to get some answer too.
(1) When experimenting, what is the order it recommended to exp in (Durability, Quality, Resists)?
(2) I have a bunch of Janta hides. What are good stats on those and what do they replace in the normal crafting process?
(3) I am looking at patterns and it seems like everything is 50% OQ and either 50% MALL or SR. How is it determined what stats hit what? I assume the goal is to get stats that hit all 3 - for instance, if i have something with 95% OQ, 95% MA, but 25% SR (not even sure if mats exist like this, just making up #s for a scenario) that resource may not be good?
(4) For crafting min/maxing, i know i need a suit and to be i a research center. I am aiming for 25 Assemble and 20 Exp, correct?
(5) When repairing, is there anything special i need to do (besides get a 99.7 kit)? Do i need to be at a crafting station or anything else?
Thats all the specifics i can think of at the moment, but please feel free to chime in with anything else you may think will be helpful.
Thanks!

1. I almost always do the middle line first which usually raises the base prot (for composite the middle line raises the special prot AND the base prot). Also for composite after I do the middle line I normally do the top line which lowers the encumb but some AS do the bottom line instead which raises the condition. For armor like RIS the middle line raises the base prot, the top line lowers the encumb and the bottom raises the special prot AND the condition. Its best if you test all the different armor types out and maybe write a list somewhere so you remember which lines do what (it can be confusing at first).southfrance wrote:Sorry if some of these are noobish, but i never really got much into crafting on Live. 2. Janta hides can be added to the Segment part of your armor crafting and it raises the base prot by the % listed on the janta hide. Useful janta hides range from 5-9%.
3. In most cases you want the highest OQ+SR combo you can find (ex. a resource with 1000 OQ and 200 SR is worse than a resource with 700 OQ and 600 SR) but if you are looking for lower the encumbrance you can try for high OQ+MA or to raise the condition go for high OQ+UT.
4. Yes, you will want 25 ass/20exp.
5. You should have a +25 repair suit and be standing next to the correct crafting station (Armor/clothing or Weapon/Droid) also droids with crafting stations modules seem to work for this.
well I hope I was able to answer these correctly but some of the answers are my own opinion.

Thanks! 1 follow up. For the repair suit, is the stats specific (like drops +10 armor repair) or is it generic and can be used for repair weps as well?
