Other Bounties Suggestion

There is already a large percentage of pvp that happens here centered around BH's and Jedi. The better option is to try and find ways to make other professions more desirable instead of giving more incentives for people to play bounty hunters.

This. If changes are going to be made to increase any kind of PvP in this game, it should be with all of the non-Jedi/non-BH classes. Too many of them are just not viable at ALL now. With the changes to the BH vs. Jedi mini-game, the rest of the combat classes in the game have been marginalized in a really bad way(aside from maybe the already OP Combat Medic).

Sadly, I think the PvP on this server would be better without Jedi.

I've played games with this exact system and it never works out (eve online is a great example). The problem is, once someone has a bounty on them they can just let their friend kill them and collect. The system ends up just being a way to encourage players to give credits to people that piss them off.

It's a great idea though, if anyone can think of a way to adapt the system such that it functions as intended. Maybe let the player who placed the bounty also decide who is allowed to accept the mission based on player name, faction or guild?

I agree with this. You can fit in some classes in group PvP but most are useless aside from BH, Jedi and CM.

The system got re-applied in the NGE and it worked well, you die, you place bounty, person end on the terminals... BH pick up mission and attempt to kill the player who has obtained a BH from PvP.

EvE Online is a very different game, I know I played it for a few years and the incredible bounty system is much more difficult in EvE Online, if you played EvE enough you would know it would not be an easy task like just picking it up from a terminal and go out and kill someone, you would actually have to live infiltrate the players play ground and likewise the area the player probably is, is full PvP 24/7 well you can get killed in any safe zone as well in that game and PvP is taken to a level that is pretty much unmatched in any other MMO, so EvE Online is a very poor example as it is a complete different game that has many more factors than what SWG do.

From what I can see from the results of this poll the fact is that the vast majority of the community wants this.
I leave this in the hands of the developers, and hope indeed they take notice of this. :)

A way around the argument of "oh let BHs have all the fun!"

Why not introduce a new Player Bounty Terminal, for all players that would work similar to the BH Temrinal but be just for player based bounties, however those are developed.
That way any class could hypothetically participate or require your character to have a combat profession in order to participate.

I assume this wouldn't be horribly difficult since there are the enhancement terminals and the BH coding would be similar I would believe.

If you want to kill someone, just go overt??? Seems this server is obsessed with Bh vs jedi and 1v1/player bounties????

This whole game is meant to be based around Rebel vs Imperial GCW etc. I miss the big battles of the old days, where team work and balance of professions were the key. Needing stackers + dots to counter jedi, jedi to counter ranged and cm's to counter stackers haha

Seems awakening is just traps and Spam Fast Blast in the mini game meta.

I wouldnt exactly call 86 people a vast majority. Especially considering nearly as many people voted for no or "depending on how it is implemented". This server has over 16,000 accounts to it. Making major decisions like that because 86 (less than 0.5%) people voted yes on a forum that not everyone uses is not a great way to go about making decisions.

lol I like the idea, but I am biased. It's more content for me. Plus it isnt as easy to donate to your friends as people think it is, otherwise it would be rampant here already. I do agree though, there are better ways to implement it.

I would assert that the 86 that voted is a better representation of the player base that actually plays, rather than just stating a 16,000 number which we know the vast majority of that number does not play anymore.
