Turn off autoplay of on the homepage?

Would it be possible to turn this off, the autoplay of the videos on the home page.At least once a week i get looks when i forget to mute my machine at work.. lol

This has been asked before (and similarly with the launcher), so I don't know that the idea will get traction but my recommendation is to your browser directly to http://swgawakening.com/index.php and bypass the homepage when you're logging in from work/have wife aggro/etc. unless you want to check server status.

That said, week of release...the better question is: why aren't your coworkers watching the teasers, too?

I have to avoid the homepage at all costs because of it and the new launcher, for sorta comical reasons.
All because of my High School Website Design instructor. I dunno if it was his pet peeve, or a sound design principle at the time, but he hammered into us that auto playing media on a website is a hall mark of poor site design and that he'd flunk the shit out of us if he found it on any of our projects.

Of course, this was website design 1997 edition when bandwidth was still a consideration. Regardless every time I visit a site that has it to this day, I have an involuntary eye twitch.

No. Like many other MMO's launchers, intros and websites, ours has sound... it will continue to have sound. Kick ass sound, I might add.

Please turn your sound down or off if you wish to change that.
