I realize this is low on the priority list, it is a complex formula which I still haven't completely grasped on how a pet's resists, levels, and overall stats factor in to the dna that bioengineers collect. However, the current state of pet making is quite dismal . It seems to me , feel free to chime in anyone who has had a different experience, that it is now impossible to create a pet that is difficulty level 70. Even with almost " perfect" dna from creatures whose aggression and power are almost cap at 1000 will oftentimes only roll a level 40-50. It seems to me the assembly roll is broken and creates a starting point for experimentation that is too low to push up the creature to 70. As you know there are no tapes for bioenginner. We are complete at 10 pts.
Another interesting point whether it is intended or not and I personally find wonderfully interesting !, some creature's dna have been affected by what i suspect ? is the change of code to buff creatures to be harder then on different servers.
So in a way bio-e is very much a rediscovery here and not the cookie cutter formula that is posted in years old guides. So I totally applaud that . It keeps me fascinated for hours and it is nice to feel that next discovery is around the bend. In saying that , I have also noted that some creatures which are intended unable to be sampled (i.e. any creature whose level exceeds 75) I am able to try to sample them ? Female malkoc plainswalkers for example, it should not be possible yet i am able to sample them? I have never gotten a viable dna sample , but the game does allow me to try . It was not this way on live. It should say that that is beyond my skill, Is that dna coded ? Is it just a low chance? We may not know but I am trying to find out. I have been through about 2 crates of rez packs in my attempts.
In addition, there are some resists that are not transferring to the finished product. Stun in particular comes to mind. Also when dna is collected from creatures in particular instances none of the resists transfer. Have the resists been changed ? and are just not transferring to the dna ? Effective resists are also not experimenting up as intended. I realize these few issues are complex coding that I have no idea about, I just wanted to let you know what I find particularly interesting and how it affects my favorite profession.
Thanks

I would have to agree. The assembly roll the last time they (SWGEmu) changed the formula made the floor of BE crafting too low so you can experiment up one or two lines; however, to make pets anywhere close to pre-cu results for MCH pets it is impossible.
BE Pre-cu guide: http://www.swgemu.com/archive/scrapbook ... 126180358/
"Perfect Pet challenge" for examples of what should be possible: http://www.swgemu.com/archive/scrapbook ... 126180433/
For low level pets <35, they are turning out very nice but the ones above >35 are impossible. An example is 5 mutant rancor sample (level 75), this should give a very high level pet using all 10 experimentation points... created a pet one level 68 and the other level 71 (9k H/3K A/3k M AR1, 45kin 60energy, 0 blast, 99 Heat, 99 Cold, 99 Ele, 0 Acid 0 Sun 213-640 atk Dizzy). As you can see the HAM is lacking due to too many boxes. In addition, the blast, stun and acid resists are noticeably lacking even tho the DNA has resists to these. This is a far cry from what it should be Pre-cu.
I do not know how difficult it would be to tweak it, and I appreciate that Awakenings is a small staff, but it would be awesome if it could be fixed here:)
