Jedi PVP

I have been thinking a lot lately about Jedi and how they are used in SWG. Being Jedi on this server is supposed to be all about PvP and trying to survive is it not? Currently it appears that most Jedi are grinding to full template. A knock-on effect is that they can accumulate huge amounts of loot and money and imbalance the flow of resources and high-end loot for the rest of the players on the server. Once full-template the loot issue can be magnified. Perhaps it is time to take loot and cash out of the equation for Jedi so that PvP becomes the raison d'etre. Once you are a Jedi there should be no reason or need for material wealth right? The Force is all that matters. I suggest the following:

1. Jedi be given their needed profession tools.
2. They are not allowed to add anything else to their inventory other than profession related items.
3. They are allowed a single small house deed with no decay.
4. They are allowed droid, pet, and vehicle deeds.
5. They are allowed no cash.

Remember...this is just a suggestion and one that may require a drastic rethink of how people think about the game and how to play it...food for thought anyway

if jedi have no cash, how are they to barter with players for loot such pearls/crystals? if they cant hold any items such as prof related items how are they to gather loot for their other toons, such as geo loot for a weaponsmith or loot tapes to sell for cash to buy buy their needed prof items that are mob drops? if they need to be allowed cash why give them a no decay house so they dont need to spend their money? if they are given there tools then there would be no interaction need with the outside world at all and then there would be no risk or no need to rely on other people, and the materials that go into making the tools? would they all be given the best possible too? would it be a random %?

That is part of the problem. Jedi should be above the economy, not the cornerstone of it. They don't need to be supporting their other toons. That said, a player's 2nd toon can grind or buy the needed items and give it to their Jedi. The other toons would be supporting the Jedi...not the other way around. The house I would throw in just so there is a place they can log out and heal and also allow the toon to be a part of a city they happen to call home.

Jedi had money in the movies, they just didn't a lot of personal possessions. Most dont here either. They use their money to aquire their base needs like any other creature. Food, shelter, items to power their sabers. If they pass their money to their alts, well wow that falls in line with what a Jedi would do. Help other people and get rid of excess money. We are not redesigning an entire system to accommodate one preofession.

If we're going to be that literal, Jedi should not really pvp unless absolutely cornered with no other option. The force is for defense
