I know his interview isn't on here yet, but many congrats to Turin on being June's CMoM!! He is always so informative and helpful to new and vets alike and will bend over backwards to help people. He keeps his cool no matter what is going on, and is just one of the nicest guys you will ever meet!! He has worked so hard to make what is now New Destiny a great city for people to live in and visit as well!

Ok, It's official, as I have the interview back from Turin. Everyone, congratulate Turin for being chosen by the players of Awakening as June's Community Member of the Month!!!!!!

I remember when I first started playing here and Turin was one of the first people to start answering the millions of questions I threw out into Gen Chat on my play toons. He always made sure to inquire how everyone was doing when they said, "Hi," to him in chat. He's never let faction or guild drama get in the way of being friends with people. He makes sure the people he's playing with are having fun, and that there are fun things for them to do. Super nice guy in my opinion, and the opinion for the players on the server.

We've asked Turin to answer a few questions for us:

Q.Who is Turin?

A.Me.... Turin is the 7ft Trando, He has always been TK, loves the profession and will never drop it.

Started off as a master ranger and was master ranger up to only a few weeks back, just changed template.

Started Rangers of the North after 3 months into his awakening life, and worked with 15 other rangers to fullfill contracts and build relations with clients.

Resource Mogul: - Collecting and selling on all resources in game.

Has been mayor of New DeSTiNY(Previously known as New Order) since last October.

Has been a proud member of the Awakening family for 435 days.


Q, Who is New Destiny?

A. New Destiny is the name of the city previously know as New Order, the name was voted upon by the residents of the city, after taking a poll for new names, and was the most popular choice.
It relates to the guild DeSTiNy which the brainchild of Myself and Sevamet, it was a project that we wanted to try when we were at COA, and we decided to proceed with it and have not looked back since, it is a project very close to our hearts.
We wanted to have a no drama, stress free guild, with like minded individuals to help the community further there relations with others, I think we have accomplished this to a degree but its an ongoing thing.

Anyone who knows me, knows that the city has always been my baby, since day one that I joined awakening I have always been at new DeSTiny and it will always be my home, I remember when I first started and Zoidberg was the mayor there (RIP Zoidberg, you are very missed), and have seen 4 mayors come and go before taking the reins.
I always saw the potential of the city and with alot of help from very good friends, and especially Sevamet it is now one of the biggest and most popular cities on the server which I am very proud of.
It's a long way from being finished, but its been brilliant seeing all our hard work come to light and to see where it is heading.
It is a city that accommodates both veteran players and new players also, it has 24/7 entertainers in Sistri and Airy and doctores peerec,faze and fotibear at the cantina offering there service.
Myself and Sevamet both pride ourselves as keen decorators and have decorated the mall,cantina, medical centre to high quality, our aim is to have the whole city fully decorated and a place to really make Awakening stand out even more than it does.
Our Overall goal is to make it the major business hub for all shops, mall and tents(decorated to top standard) offering all service to everyone. On top of it offering the service and assistance to all players it already does.

Q:Why Awakening?

A.First saw it advertised on facebook, and instantly contacted my brother and step father, and we all started together.
Being back was amazing, the nostalgia of being back and being able to play with my step dad again and my brother for the first time in a world which was such a pivotal part of my life growing up.
The reason I am still here all this time later is because of the staff and the community, I have made so many good friends here, not going to list everyone off as I don't want to miss anyone, but you all know who you are and you make playing this game so worthwhile and your friendship to me means more than I can ever describe.
I still get the feeling of excitement when I load in and I love playing my toons with my friends who are more like family, having banter in game and on teamspeak.
I have never contemplated trying other servers, as awakening is my home and why would i ever want to try other servers when for me awakening is the best server there is.

Q. What are some of your in-game hobbies?

A.
- Rangering has always been one of my first loves, never played it on live and tried it here for the first time in awakening, loved every minute of having a ranger, and still have a ranger, but taking a little break from it atm to try other parts of the game, but love being out there harvesting.Creating Rangers of the North was amazing to be able to go out with other likeminded players and doing a profession you love and getting paid for it.

-Resources: I never really put any thought into resources on live, but its been brilliant learning all about them on awakening and has become a love of mine, to keep up to date with them and collect and selling on, has also made me very rich so can't complain about that.

-Events: I always enjoyed doing guild events and bonding with others doing geo caves,DWB and other high end stuff, or out collecting janta or rancor supplies with guildies. I use to plan 3 daily events in my old guild and still do events friday,saturday and sunday in DeSTiNY, love bringing people together to enjoy the game.


-Recruiting: Always been a keen recruiter even when I first started, I take great delight in talking to other players even if its just to say hello to them, I enjoy socializing with everyone I can and try to make the time to speak to as many people as I can, I think that's why I have always been good at recruiting because I take the time to get to know others and enjoy socializing.

-High end Activity with Scabbed: Myself and Scabby have our browski dates on tuesdays and thursdays normally and sometimes joined by a few others and go and do axkva,geo caves,krayting, DWB and always something love doing together, we socialize on teamspeak as we do and he knows me very well and me him, always something I look forward to.


-Decorating: Love decorating since playing awakening, myself and Sevamet have worked on some projects in our time which can be seen in our city, also laschana and sona are very keen decorators and I look at the work and they inspire me to better myself at decorating. But love seeing the final finished product when its done.


-In game Emails(or Novels as there referred to): I enjoy emailing the guild and city citizens as alot of people will know, my emails are referred to as novels as I go into so much detail, i enjoy keeping people updated thats why they are so long, but i do enjoy writing my emails :-).

Q.What's a favorite moment on Awakening?

A. I have had so many, Getting all the pieces and crafting my jetpack and being the first on the server has to be very high up there, massive thank you to merrie,japerse,xman and jerut for that.


One of the best nights I ever had was spending 8 hours in mos eisley cantina chilling out socialising with alot of players helping them grind medical professions burning on my entertainer, and healing xp for dancers with tend damaging, was a night I was very fond of.

I was on test center one night near the beginning of my time here, and we had rebel ewoks and imperials having a battle, so alot of rebels got turned into ewoks and we were running around doing funny things, and I said wheres c3po so we can bow to him, and I was changed into c3po, which proceeded to a worship from an army of ewoks, one of the funniest nights I've had.

These are just a few that pop to mind, I have had so many great times and I am sure ill have plenty more.

Q.Fun Turin Facts:

-Server first Jetpack Owner.
-Mysterious was the person who made Turin the Tk he is today.
-Stepo is Turin's longest friend on Awakening.


Q.Whats your most embarassing moment?

A.Probably, turning up to a COA guild meeting at Dune Sea, hosting the meeting with a roomful of rebels, most of them overt, with me with an imperial tag on and them all trying there hardest not to kill me as I hosted the meeting. Then making all the way through the meeting without them killing me (most of them wanting to kill me for being imperial) and then head over to the cantina to get buffed and being shot dead by a turrent as heading into cantina.
