how to copy and paste in game???

How do I copy and paste an email in game to make a macro ?

Really could use some help. I tried the key binding thing with no success .

Go to your options window
- go to controls
- click the keymap button at the bottom
- choose the "chat" tab section
- scroll down to copy and paste (which will be blank by default)
- choose rebind (choose the keys you want)
- hit done

Make sure you hit apply before you hit done. Sometimes it win't "take" unless you hit apply.

Hey Chef,

If you cant seem to get the keybindings to work you can always do a /mailsave which will export your emails into your profiles/account name (or soemthing like that. It will save it as a text file and you can copy out of game and paste it into the macro.

There are also some sneaky ways you can use the /note command and even directly edit the macro save file. Though I always break my macros when I do that.

And no /mailsave is not my command for a bomb droid >:D

sometimes the copy email to paste macro transfer is wonky, i have used /notepad in the past as a nice generic medium before pasting it into the macro window

A quick tip here that I've found useful:

Normal copy and paste outside SWG is

Ctrl + C = Copy
Ctrl + V = Paste

So what I've done is make it similar by:

Ctrl + Alt + C = Copy
Ctrl + Alt + V = Paste

Otherwise if you rebind Ctrl + V then you would replace the map shortcut and Ctrl + C is Character Sheet

I know this is a little necro but,

To copy an in game email you must first forward the email and then copy from that window.
