I have played the beta a little, started as a Brawler, but never got far. At the time, I was juggling so many games and betas - despite Star Wars being my first love and SWG one of my biggest crush in MMOs, I had too much on my plate. So I came back once it officially launched and started on Bria as a Medic and finally mastered Combat Medic, Marksman and worked up an entertainer, but never unlocked. When I came back after quitting due to RL issues, I logged on Tarquinas - in the NGE. Boy was I lost, made a Twi'lek Jedi - named B'Ellana. Also had a little Bothan Shipwright alt - Cistie Mi'Fey. I ended up with the Wraiths on Tarquinas, until the server mergers, where I ended up on Starsider - mostly because of its very active pilot population. I don't recall what guild I was in on Starsider - I just know I was also part of a TARQ vs ORA huge war back then, on Tarquinas that is. Oh well, memories... just know that I might be rusty on the whole pre-NGE era - despite having played some during that time - I just remember the NGE - as it is freshest, but also because it - like it did the game - overwrote everything else. XD

So there. I don't expect meeting anyone I knew, but who knows.

For some reason it has to be Dantooine. As a Geordie (well, Durham lad with Northumbrian roots too) the planet reminds me of home. Also the Dantari remind me of the mooks that populate some cities up here!

Dantooine and Tatooine/Lok. We had towns there on Chimaera.

SWG Experience(How long you played on live or in what update pre-cu/CU/NGE)

I started in Chimaera a few weeks after launch, the September as I recall. Took a long time to explore and got incapped a lot, mostly barefoot for some reason. Was able to kill a force sensitive on Dant by luring it down a river and shooting That was fun as I was nowhere near a master of anything. I did unlock Jedi and was gutted when the NGE came along. I quit about 2 months before the final plug was pulled. I had three toons on that one account and made a lot of good friends around the world who I am still in touch with.

Was in UKRM, SFR (I helped name that guild!), ECHOs and NIGHT.

Now I'm 42 (just) and am starting to feel the excitement and addiction again - lol - which cannot be good. Part of that is the wonderful guild feeling in general chat. I've already been asked to join a few cities and guilds. It feels kind of awesome again.

I will be popping up a tent somewhere, maybe even on Dant! I'm sure I'll place something somewhere where my old town used to be...I made a map of it back in the day to help organise zoning

I played in live from day 1, love everything about Star Wars. Oh the memories, my house on Naboo, beach from property just outside of Kadaara. Killing Krayt Dragons on Tatooine, joining grinding groups on Dantooine, playing for hours and hours on end and never wanting to stop. I left the game for a while after the CU, but eventually came back to get my SWG fix lol, played on till it finally shutdown. But I have stumbled across this server and I must say I was only logged in for about 10 min and I was impressed. I hope to bring my roommate in with me and find a new home with lots of new friends to explore and hunt with. Feels so good to be back... I LOVE STAR WARS!!! :))

SWG Experience(How long you played on live or in what update pre-cu/CU/NGE):
Thanks to having a couple of older brothers I started playing while I was still relatively young (14). And played all the way up to the combat upgrade. My brothers took the better servers so I had my main on Radiant, originally a Rodian by the name of Froshile as a TK/Doc mix. Eventually I went the same route as a Twilek. I'm sure I was in a guild at some point but I never really rose to any stature and tended to be more of a solo-player.
I remember years ago hearing about the SWG Emu and although interested I was going through university and getting my personal life on track. Since getting married and finding a stable career I've gotten right back into gaming. After watching Sword Art Online and remembering the feeling of playing the one decent MMO that ever existed, I decided to hit up the SWG Emu research and noticed on Reddit lots of people talking about this new Awakening Server. And I have to say I'm once again 100% hooked! Probably one of the only games I ever felt a great attachment to. I do love FPS, racing games (especially trackmania) but there's always new ones coming out so I find it easy to detach, but SWG will always be SWG and it's great to find a server filled with decent people who are all passionate about getting our game back.

Played live on Bria starting late '03 I think - not long after launch there were no speeders or swoops we ran everywhere and corpsed out a lot as I remember. As someone who was not a huge fan of star wars I was surprised to find I loved the game. Never had a desire for Jedi but I loved Rangering and being able to use the tusken rifle. I hated grinding (still do) so I was never rich or a bad-ass but, enjoyed being a roleplayer and helping newbies where I could be that skills or information. Eventually found my place, and a little $$$ founding member of the guild (SCAR) and city of Bloodstone Canyon on Tattooine. Played thru til shortly after the nge because of course after that all rangers were nerfed to spy. Havent played since then, never thought Id get to Ranger again and for that I thank you Big Ed and staff! I don't twitter on the face tube so I heard about awakening from an actual persons mouth. Look forward to meeting yall on the trail!

Favorite planet to live on: Naboo, there is a lake down south past moina, the fishing is great there.
SWG Experience(How long you played on live or in what update pre-cu/CU/NGE) I don't even know the time line to be honest. I watched my friend play from day one, but I didn't get a computer that could play it until after jtl even after nge we still played had fun customized our houses and our looks. I started out on star sider with Vilam he was a comando, and later I had a crafter named Noth, tailor made my friends and I look like a million space bucks! I never thought I would get to play the game like it was meant to be played so when the emu's started coming out and was kind of excited but so many give me servers that it took away from the original charm of what the game was and I was looking for. Thanks for the opportunity guys realm having fun.

Hello Folks, Jermi Thorn coming onboard. Heard about the awakening EMU and had to check it out. Runs well, other than combat I find it's hard to switch targets properly, I have to figure out a way to remedy this for myself and such. Just started two characters, maybe a third for crafting . Probably gonna be a BH for sure, maybe a commando. I am glad we can have more than one character, allows me to play both sides and enjoy.

I like to RP and I like to play a Star Wars game that reminds me of Star Wars, long and adventurous. You get what you put in and hopefully the RP elements that were in the final client will surface here, allowing us to build NPC stories with our own loot for people we meet. That was my favorite part of the old game, creating my own stories for Padawans and giving them loot!

Anyway, i had Master TKM/dancer (used to be pikeman/dancer) for PVE fun and Master Rifle/Doc for PVP and high end PVE. I had 2 accounts, so i could buff myself before i go play in the wild and for the convenience of the extra lots. I completely left maybe a month after NGE.

SWG Experience: Started somewhat late in the pre-CU so didn't get to take part in the hologrind though I could only imagine how horrible annoying that was, newbied myself into the game beign fond of rifles for the most part, later on the CU was a combination of rifles/pistols and carbines using all 3 weapon types on equal basis, became a famous krayt hunter and an epic shipwright on my alt velve, which I had on my second account in the game... all was going well really until the NGE struck.. game went downhill from there on, if it was not because of space being an awesome thing for me to do I would had quit, ended though having a 4 month break from the game and came back into a little better NGE, space and space crafting was still my main hobby though, but later on got used to the system that actually got playable but had lost alot of zazz due to the simplification of the game, in either period of SWG I did endure quite a bit of PvP, most of it was in space though but did have some great wars on the dirtside as well, but it was mostly space, endured alot of the harder content with groups on dirtside as well quite often, as well as crafting and messing with RE ship parts was an addiction.... short and brief as I could make, alot is untold.

First played SWG in 2008 so I have no Pre-CU experience other than the Emus (be easy on me, I'm a total noob).
I played a Jedi on Chimaera and was active in a Sith RP guild until I decided to quit (the constant rants of Pre-CU/CU/NGE fanatics ingame and forums put me off).
Now I hope to rediscover the spark of excitement I felt first playing the game by going back to its roots. I want to see the game how it was originally intended to be. I don't have much time on my hands but I really look forward to playing Star Wars Galaxies again ;D

If you are new to pre-CU, you might want to check out the Easy Money thread in the Guides Forum for some quick and easy way for those just starting out to earn a little cash that comes in handy for shuttle tickets, weapon/armor upgrades, training, etc. until you figure out what works best for your character in terms of steady income...
