Hi all! I'm really happy to have found Awakening!
I'm Michael, 30 years old, father of two. My daughter, Mackenzie (12) will be joining me on here to play as well. I'm sure you'll see us running around together. We're both giant geeks and love gaming together. It's been a long while since I've played SWG and it's been my favorite MMO since I started day 1. I was sad to see what happened with the CU and NGE, which is why I'm thrilled to find this community. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and having a great time! I started launch day weekend on Valcyn where I played for many, many years before moving to Bloodfin in 2008 and finally to Starsider. I usually played a tailor/dancer with a side of combat. I managed to unlock a jedi with a whole ton of dancing. I loved this game's balance of crafter, entertainer and combat. Haven't played in years. This is really cool.

SWG Experience(How long you played on live or in what update pre-cu/CU/NGE):Joined just After NGE was played implemented and played that till it died off and on, was based on Euro Chimera. Chars was DarkSol Jedi/Medic/Spy/Ent/Medic then back to Jedi and Ragell commando/medic/Bounty Hunter then back to medic.
Was told about Awakening by a good friend that introduced me to the SWG back in the day, I tried a fe of the emuprecu and found a lot of players there wasn't helpful, so i stopped and tried Awakening and never looked back sound bunch of players and sound bunch of people.. looking forward to continuous play..

SWG experience: well i start playing 2mounth before CU, played all the time of CU version and enjoied it as well as the first two mounth Pre CU, i reach the visit of the old man just 2 mounth before NGE, started my personal run to became a jedi and then... Sony ruined all... the NGE come alive and all was lost... till now. If i find a way to make running direct 3D on my W7

I'm a refugee from the old Radiant server under the name Difa Oraeed and played on and off since day one through NGE. I was originally in the Crimson Moon Crime Syndicate(CMCS) guild back in the days I did RP. Eventually I found my way to Watchmen(WM) until I stopped playing about a year before the game shut down. In that time I leveled a number of professions starting with marksmen to work my way up to pistoleer/smuggler before the hologrind started. Got caught up in that and grinded out 2 professions before the holocron pointed me to swordsman. Needless to say, I fell in love with that profession and didn't look at the hologrind again. I look forward to rediscovering the wonders of preCU SWG.

I just started to play here and made a new character, named Cado Drelefyed [using a random generated name as I usually overthink making unique names ]
I started using the Freelance Pilots route which puts me on my favourite planet, Tatooine. I have a master BH, master Ranger planned. Planning to stay neutral till I see which way the wind blows.
This is like 2003(4?) all over again, getting owned by womprats! I bought the game when it came out, played with friends on good old Starsider and loved the Pre-CU off and on until the hated CU and NGE (did I say hated? I'll say it again). Was a Doc/TK for a long time although I started as a CH which was great fun. I suffered through the NGE for a short while as a Rifleman, Commando and CM which were all uniquely great. Finally could no longer take the NGE so I quit for WoW (and others). So now I see another chance at Pre-CU goodness, take my time to enjoy the game again and perhaps discover the Jedi path. JTL space combat would be awesome too!

Started on Valcyn as a rebel in Runner City. began pvping against DwV and the likes of JJJ, Raspinsdiss, Renala/Almostra, Araju, Debo etc. First toon I ever rolled went Rifles/CM/Doc and spent a lot of time pvping in Black Sun City. Eventually jumped ship to the Imperial side rolled a BH, joined NiSis, and moved to Leoness, Rori and had a long stint as a Same Faction Hunter. After many verbal go-rounds with Zurham, I finally saw the light, and started only targeting rebels. Left NiSis to start <BH>. When I realized and all BH guild was a really bad idea, I shut <BH> down and joined EXO. When the CU hit EXO eventually died. Last night of Pre CU, I had a total of 313 melee, 1 v 1, jedi kills under my belt. With the help of Zurham and FHA I attempted the final Jedi Master bounty on Valcyn, chasing Quing'tut of BLADE around Yavin (I think). Didn't kill him, but came wicked close. He was trackstar surpreme so he wasn't a danger to me, but I couldn't pin him down to kill him.
When the CU and then NGE hit I cycled through professions and just couoldnt find a playstyle I liked. I eventually took a long hiatus after several trips in and out of the game. When Valcyn was shut down I transferred to Bria. I made a forum post looking for a die hard imperial pvp guild. A guy named Anastasia pointed me in the direction of FoE, which I happily joined, and went Spy. I spent a long time racking up more than three times as many 1 v 1 kills as a Spy, with a kill to death ratio of better than 97%. Of course as a spy, which a full SEA suit, and a macro'd alpha strike, it really wasn't hard.
Hunting is what brought me back here. I have played WoW, TOR, CoH, LOTRO, and several other MMOs, and haven't encountered anything like it. It's addicting. There is something about hunting a human opponent who most likely knows you are coming, knows your name, and knows how you will attack him, and he will try to hide from you. On top of that he is an alpha class who you are not supposed to be able to beat. You are supposed to lose. That's amazing, when you are successful. When you figure out how to repeat that success? You are hooked.

SWG Experience: Although I registered straight away when SWG was announced, I never had the chance to play until the NGE (on Europe-Farstar), since I moved to a place where "Highspeed-Internet" was (and may still is) a foreign word.
Met people who pointed me to SWGEmu, where I registered in February 2010. My chars on TC Nova (preOR) were, among others Teano Piryel, Master Artisan/Master Marksman [Main] Lanni and Hasti Rave, Artisans [Alts] Wynssa Starflare, Entertainer [Alt].
Teano Piryel, Artisan/soon-to-be Droid Engineer, is still my current main char on Basilisk, along with Vaq Derlin, Scout/Pistoleer, and Lyma Finn, Brawler/Marksman.
A few days ago I discovered the SWGA ad within the SWGEmu forums and thought it could be interesting to pay that a visit... and once I found out that "you shall NOT trash the SWG directory once Awakening is installed" it's been a nice experience so far.

SWG Experience: Never played an MMO before but the SWG forums was the first one I'd been on back in elementary / junior high before it was released and I've always wanted to play.
I just found my first resource deposit and put it on Galaxy Harvester. There were already two people automining it - I'm sure I have a lot to learn.

SWG Experience: started on day 1 and loved it from the start. Played pretty much every profession over the next couple of years and had several shops. I loved the game that much I upgraded from 56k modem to ISDN (that's how long ago it was) just to be able to play more and better. I started on Europe-Farstar but soon had characters (and associated accounts) on Valcyn and Bria. Yes, I bought extra accounts to play on other servers but I had no issues with this and found it a great way to keep things seperate. I pretty much spent every spare minute on SWG, even getting up early for work so I could set up my resource and manufacturing plants for the day and empty them when I got home from work. Life was good
Then came CU. within 2 weeks I was down to one account and even let that go after about 6 weeks.
I returned a couple of times for about a day or two at a time but it just wasn't the game I bought and fell in love.
After watching the movies (all 6) back to back the other day, I needed a Star Wars fix. Loaded several of my old games and whilst hunting a fix for one of them on the net, I came across Awakeneing. I've come full circle and am loving being back in the best SWG universe you can get!

Joined SWG when the game launched (oh boy does that make me as old as I think I am..), played on Lowca all the way to NGE, CU ruined the game, NGE killed it. Tried NGE for a bit but yeah.. shan't go on a rant. >:(
I'm so glad you guys are running this game again, many MMORPG have tried, none come remotely close to how awesome SWG is.

Our guild name was "Men in tight pants" and boy did we have a ton of fun.. wonder where these ladies and gents are now..
SWG Experience: Started playing when the game was about a year old, cant remember if it was june 2005 or not. My friends at work were begging me to come and play with them, so I started. Some of you will know me and some not. Dunn Dakari, from Blade, TFO, MVA also with DFL with Darkyoungling . I was TKM, Carbinerre, Fencer... and also Jedi at one point in the game. Loved playing in the Light vs Dark system, some of the best roleplay ive ever seen. Towards the end I played off and on went to Bloodfin when the server died, the toon I had there was Derkain Shadow. Anyway a lot of fun was had and I missed it. Its really good to be here... lots of old names here....hehe
I'm sure everyone shares the same excitement I have in being able to play SWG again. I was an original holo-grinder and moved on to EQ2...etc...after Sony destroyed the game with the "New Jedi System". (grrrrrr) I've compared every game I've ever played with SWG, and I've never found a game that quite gave me the satisfaction as this did. I'm looking forward to playing, grinding, crafting, and whatever else comes my way. Although my hard-core days are over, it's nice to know that I can immerse myself in the world of Star Wars again and relive some experiences with the characters of my childhood.

I started just after they introduced mounts and player housing. I had to go big and get the CE cause I wanted the shades. Man I miss my shades. I had The Cutest Rodian on the server, the first incarnation of Sae. She was always such a good dresser too. I lived fo PVP and used to bug anyone who would listen to let me come kill folks with them. Started out in MVA as a dirty Rable. Seroius drama ensued that spilled over into RL. Got kicked out and Moka made a shrine to me in that hag Asri's cantina. I played with Arritar/Orad for a bit, and drug him PVP'ing with me. TBF's guild TFO took me in after that, and I had some amazing PVP battles with them. (Can you see a reoccuring theme here? PVP... PVP...PVP... The whole guild jumped ship over to World of Lamecraft but I came back to SWG. Phima convinced me to go Imperial. Eventually I ended up in DWV with Ekahab, Vultan, Quix and company. They were PVP'ers after my own blackened heart. As they all faded away I got drug kicking and screaming into DEFF with the dreaded Lord-Static. I think I threatened to shove a T-21 up his ass the first time I talked to him the day I was guilded, and it was love at first insult. I played on and off after the server mergers, but never did more than handed out buffs and played dress up dolls. I always had the best clothes. I did a lot of interior decorating. Watched the game go poof, and the addict in me just couldn't let it all go, so here I am again. The Hillbilly Gamer Girl.
