I think so far its different. I seemed to have messed up my screen resolutions. How can I pull the screen sizes up at the launch again. Plus did I miss something on the station? I did not even get a gun for my marksman is that on purpose? I'm all for trying the Pre Cu.
I played from launch till shut down on SWG
I started on Wanderhome AKD, Aevas, and Nazareth.
I transferred to Starsider Much Later. I also ran the Kevag bot at the Janta village. All my alts became top Chroniclers including server wide I was proud of that.

Go into the SWG Awaking folder and run the config file. The box will pop and you can sort your problem.
As for rifle no idea, but shout one of my chars in my signature and I can get you a starter set.

the tutorial is a bit buggy, I never run it because you can come out of it without weapons or the starting landspeeder, crafting tools, etc
