Please bring back Gen Chat

not sure if im the only one that has noticed, but since the demise of gen chat it seems this server population isn't what it used to be. i know we have passed 16k accounts, but what is the actual player base these days? hopefully im wrong but it seems like a ghost town.

We appreciate the input, but this has been asked and answered many times. We understand that a portion of the population enjoyed the social aspect of general chat, but we do not expect to reinstate for reasons outlined in several previous threads. While neutral chat is generally the most busy, there are more than enough players to populate the faction chats as well. Most factioned folks stick to guild chat or group chat it seems, but there also seems a desire by many for the activity in faction chat to increase. All it takes is for those like-minded players to actually use the channel!

Regarding population: it has remained steady and new players join at a healthy rate. Most Emus experience a summer "slump" while people enjoy outdoor activities, vacation, etc. We expect to see activity pick up as the weather cools down. Part of the game being free means folks will come and go, so you may need to migrate to places/guilds with active players if that portion of your game seems lacking.
