I've noticed that the past two city maintenance cycles that the treasury is no longer seeing income from property taxes, and possibly shuttle and garage fees as well. The weekly maint costs seem to be an even discount from the treasury - not seeing any additional credits being added. Taxes were working fine for several months until recently.

Anyone else noticing this behavior?

How can taxes be "observed" as collecting?

Just check the treasury and see if it is static during the week aside from the city advancement? Or does the whole plus/minus take place at the advancement (taxes added then, for example?).

Player cities update once a week; the exact time for the city update can be determined from the City Maintenance Terminal located in City Hall. Prior to taxation and city maintenance, the city rank and citizenship is validated. If the city has enough citizens to advance to the next level, the city is promoted one rank. If the city does not have enough citizens to maintain their current rank, they are demoted. The Mayor is notified of any changes in city rank. A city can only go up one rank at a time: an outpost with 35 citizens would become a village at their update cycle, not a township.

If a city falls below that required rank at the time of the city update, civic structures that require a higher rank will be destroyed as well as any civic structures outside of the demoted city's radius. Player-placed commercial structures (cantinas, hospitals, theaters) are not affected by city rank once they are placed. If you fall below 10 citizens at the time of your city update, your radius shrinks to Outpost size; you must have at least 10 citizens in 24 hours or the city hall will disappear along with the city treasury.

Once the city's rank has been validated, the city's weekly maintenance fee is subtracted from the treasury. City Hall maintenance is paid first, then the rest of the structures. If the city can't pay for a structure, it becomes damaged and the mayor is notified of the structure status; the status of a civic structure can be checked from the City Maintenance Terminal. If a civic structure is damaged and reaches 0 condition, it is destroyed. **If City Hall is destroyed, all civic structures and decorations are destroyed and the city is disbanded. If a city can't pay for mission terminals, skill trainers, or decorations they are destroyed and the Mayor is notified.

Baylor,

we have checked both our FISHY cities, and we see no issues. I would suggest if you are still Mayor there, perform this experiment. Turn off all other sources of city income, such as shuttle, and cloner. Set them both to zero fees for a few hours. Then watch your city treasury numbers. As tax income is not deposited in one lump sum each week, it is processed all day on an hourly basis at different rates. That is to say property tax is a percentage of the normal maint fee of a given structure, and as structure maint fees vary depending on size of the structure, there is no standard number of income to watch for.

So if tax's are being collected, and going into the treasury, you will see very small treasury increases at random times, over about an hour. As again tax is assessed each hour, based on the structure deed drop time moment in game. We did this, we turned all other income sources off, and saw very small increases over time appear in the treasury. We believe it is safe to assume those small increases are the income from property tax collections.

Then again if you see zero increase over a few hours, then yes its time to pull the fire alarm.

Turned everything off and tested property only and it look like 3/4 of those taxes never make it to the treasury during a 24 hour period. About 5100c came in during that time. We have 204 buildings paying taxes, many smalls, so let's just say the average would be 4c/hr for buildings. 4x24x204 should be in the neighborhood of 19500c.
