I can't find an answer to this question. I downloaded the game client, then the swgawakenings launcher. I have a new computer asus with windows 8.1...I am getting this when I try to launch: Unable to launch because your computer does not have Mfc140u.dll
I tried copying and pasting an image but have not been able....any ideas what is happening here?

I was able to follow the instructions but it did not fix the issue. I am getting two different problems...one from my original post, then when I reboot I get a message that says direct 3d could not be correctly initialized...then it tells me to reboot again...which I do and rinse and repeat.

The Direct3D issue is likely related to your resolution settings in the launcher. Config>>Client Setup>>Graphics

So just go in there and change the graphics setting to anything, it doesn't matter what. You'll jest go in and change it back to whatever you want after it gives the game a kick in the pants to start behaving correctly.
