Starter Question

I have a Fenster Hall member wishing to aspire to Bounty Hunter.

I have directed him to Master Marksman, Master Medic, Master Bounty Hunter, Scout 4000

I know little of this class. But I felt this would get him a basic foothold. Now I am asking those more knowing to tweak this. He has stated he is more about npc hunting then Jedi and its not my place to sway him so can you all give me a good PvE BH build for him to aspire to?

For pve bounty missions, there are alot more alternatives than pvp jedi hunting. I feel ranged profession still is best. 3xxx bounty hunter minimum. Pistols, with all dots, can deal with all npc bounty missions. It's more risky at 367 missions but kills faster. I like carbs because I can control target better an minimize risk. Master bounty hunter and x4xx carbs. Pistols xx4x.

Master bounty hunter with rifleman 4x24 would interesting as well.

I like medic xx4x for stim e's.

It would probably be best to direct that player to the /neutral chat in-game or to these forums. You don't need MBH to be an effective PvE hunter so where the additional points can be spent become a matter of preference/play style.

Personally, my BH is used strictly for running PvE missions for loot/credits. Here is the build I use:

4040 BH
0100 Smuggler
Master Pistoleer
Novice Commando

This gives me access to a wide range of damage types, a decent amount of defense, and intimidate. With the ability to slice terms the mission payout is boosted to 100k+ from an improved job market.
