PLEASE behave in gen chat... PLEASE. Saw some nonsense earlier.. Why? As soon as you know we are getting it back you have to do that? DON'T. It isn't fair to the rest of us! There are others in the community who miss having general chat a LOT. Want to talk smack.. come here or petition for a no smack pvp channel...

I swear I if we lose it because you guys don't want to be civil in gen chat I will no longer be as polite as I usually am..

I'll keep it out of gen chat...maybe... there's only one thing more irritating than people kicking off in general chat....its carebears complaining about said "kicking off". use /addignore if you want to be bubble wrapped from banter and fun. However I'm an advocate of gen-chat as its good PR for server newbs when they see a busy chat channel. That said, you shouldn't be kicking off about what happens in factional chat (as long as it stays in the realms of non-personal attacks). Simply put your profanity filter on, /addignore and jog on. Whilst I am willing to take care not to offend carebears, Carebears should take care not to offend the rest of us with their ultra-conservatism. Its a universe sim, its supposed to have goodies and baddies (and irritating carebears) its chat mechanics have carebear settings, unfortunately screaming for a CSR every 10 seconds isn't one of them. Half of the time the screamer doesn't understand the intention behind the original grief.

There, rant over.... I'll try my best to not banter in general, if you agree not to stamp your paws whenever somebody does.

I'm really confused what the issue is here. Don't we all want the same thing? To have general chat back?

1) People above said they were mad and really irritated. They, and me included, were not offended by what you were saying. We just know that "rattling ones chain" in public chat is what got it taken away. All we are trying to do is prevent that.

2) I can see you don't understand from your rant of bubble wrapped carebears. Think of these real life scenarios.

• You are at scrum meeting at work or in a crowded cafeteria at lunch. Would you have a conversation where everyone around you hears that you are embezzling work funds?
• You are in a police station. Would you have a conversation where everyone around you hears how you killed 5 people?
• You are at a funeral or a cancer hospital. Would you have a conversation where everyone around you hears how you think we spend too much time and money on trying to save their life?

Hopefully that answer is no. Think of neutral/general chat as a work environment. New people/customers are stopping in every day. Most are going to walk right back out if they walked in on conversations like that.

3) You asked people to use /addignore, simply put your profanity filter on, carebears should take care not to offend the rest of us with there ultra-conservatism. Pretty simple stuff, right?
I don't understand why you couldn't do the simple stuff. The CSR had to tell you more than once to "Keep it civil." You were asked to take it to tells. All you did is log onto an alt character and kept on going. It is clear that you like to antagonize and keep on going and going and don't know when to stop from the conversation in neutral and even when posting videos about being offended.

4) It was very clear you were calling him a cheat. Meant that or not, that is how everyone took it.

5) PvP talk in general/neutral is never a good idea. PvP is GREAT for this game. With PvP, you will have smack talk. It is a personality trait of many competitive people. Unfortunately, they don't have a degree in psychology and understand how it looks to children, parents, the Awakening community as a whole.

It would be nice if the CSRs had functionality to be able to disable general chat on an account for the select few of individuals that can't behave. I also believe that players from other servers who don't like that Awakening is thriving will come in and start trouble.

General chat will be amazing for the Awakening community but there will always be people who are only thinking about themselves, they are not the problem, other people need to change if they have issues with them. I don't see general chat being successful if we can't disable it for certain people. I don't want them to get banned either as those personalities are important to the PvP on this server.

I dont really care much about the general chat issue. I will back off, not because I feel censored but because someone (who is pretty decent to me and alot of others) asked nicely. I choose to respect that. If you don't, thats your choice.

As for the rattling..I am gonna call bullshit on that. Too often people here start a rash of shit, pick a fight with half the server and then claim "i was just playing who cares lolol".

You made some pretty serious accusations, in public, and then refused to shut up when asked. So soon after what happened here you can ruin people with an impromptu witchhunt by starting the fires you were trying to start. It's a dick move.

It's all good though. You obviously couldnt care less.
