The PvP Awakens

Vicious Acres has been identified as the main imperial threat on Naboo.

The jedi council of LORE, supported by rebel forces, has led multiple assaults against this city and its bases.
The Dark Lord Shaalo offered us a fierce opposition during the fights and killed many of us.

All the rebels will be needed to destroy this threat and make Naboo a better place to live.

Ive told people how this is done several times,no one listened until we had an event

Drop two bases near each other wooly and make a date for people to come and they will.
Those that do it like myself, if only for a laugh, will pick a side to make up the numbers.
Try and make it open for all by keeping the jedi participates low so we can get more bone armour champions turn up.

I know this has been said before, it was said when Kanjiklub called out the server to start some PVP. The same answers then as now: "just make an event and people will show". Unless there is an "event", very few people are ever interested in pvp it seems. Why do you need an event to tell you to fight people? It was one of the things that annoyed my guild the most because, while staged pvp is fun on occasion, we in general did not like it. We enjoyed random pvp, strategic planning to destroy bases in other people's cities, clashing with another force in a main city, etc...

Well, because for someone like me that has maybe 2 hours a night (if that) to play and on a character working on a template or a grind. Spending 15 minutes prepping, 20-30 minutes grinding, then getting ganked by a squad giving 'hugs' will cause me to quit for the night since it's hardly worth my effort to go back out.

If I have less than an hour before I need to put myself to bed, there's no point in wasting money/time on a set of buffs, especially with a ganksquad probably waiting for me to do so. So I'll either park and work on something else or log and spend an extra bit of time with my partner.

I also prefer group pvp to 1v1. It's more fun and much more balanced than 1v1, even if it's only 2v2 or 3v3.

Now, strategic planning to destroy a base is equally great. But you can already do that....Enemy cities, enemy bases, go have fun and have at it. If you're asking why the 2 rebels in the town you're attack with a dozen friends don't go overt to fight you 2v12 then any logical reasoning is going to be wasted so I'll save my breath.

But I for one, won't engage unless the fight is at least somewhat fair (This works in both directions for me). I've seen Imps sitting AFK in Exile, clearly taking a few minutes of a break from running missions, probably dealing with a phone call or family thing, or even just taking a wizz. I don't gank them even though they're TEF'd just by being in the city. Because in my mind that's freaking rude. I let them be since they are clearly not prepped for PVP and are simply running missions in an IJM. Likewise I wouldn't attack someone I saw in the field with a TEF (Overt is different) grinding faction unless there was justification or they communicated they were good with it.

In group pvp like the city/base assault or during an event, dying isn't a bad thing. I can plan for it and even enjoy it. However, When I'm in the middle of nowhere after 15-20 minutes of prep for grinding, dying is annoying. Especially with limited time online.

I'll continue save my overt tag for group PVP and events. If I ever did want to go get random PVP, I'd go overt and cruise around enemy cities asking if anyone was interested in PVP.

I work 70-75 hour weeks and on top of that I am currently working on a masters degree. The time I have in game is valuable to me as it's the only "me" time I have. To have that continually ruined by a ganksquad would cause me to move on to another hobby permanently in a very short amount of time.

See, when this game was Live, they had different server types. You could pick a RP, PVE, or PVP server. I'm totally with you Votal, I'm not a PVP server type. I think the problem we're running into here is that we have ALL types on every private server because no server wants to cut down their already small population by saying "Hey, we're a RP server" or "Hey, we're a PVP server". Me? I'm a PVE server person. Which is why, even though I've never had a Jedi and thought it would be cool to finally experience it, I will NEVER play one on this server.

I'm online quite a bit at different times throughout the day. Rebels and Imperials don't play during the same times. I see earlier in my day, a bunch of Rebels whining about no overt Imperials, and about 6 hours later, a bunch of Imperials whining about no overt Rebels. This is why people are saying that there needs to be some sort of planning. It isn't happening organically.

Breaking News:

LORE members led multiple attacks against Vicious Acres yesterday.

The number of opponents is growing day after day, which is a good news.

A group of 4-5 rebels led the first assault which was a failure considering that the rebel forces got killed by Shaalo and mainly by the Turrets.
Indeed, the begining of the fight was pretty easy for us, and not very balanced but things started to become interesting for the imps when Madrox got attacked by a BHr (Priest) during the fight, which prevented him to provide healings to the rest of the group. Shaalo resisted pretty well to our attacks and things evolved pretty well for the imps when the last of us (Amedeo) died. We did not succeed to damage the turrets.

The second assault was slightly different, fieryakuma, Treize, Madrox and I went back to VA. I was the first arrived and started to engage the imps. Shaalo striked back with Vicious (CM) who died the first but she/he fought valiantly.
We started to engage the turrets in addition to Shaalo and noticed several blue dots on our radar (you probably guess who they were). The Sith lords Stepo and Odr ran from one of the base and started to unleash their powers against us. Their BHrs engaged me (in addition to Madrox or Treize) but we continued to resist. Fieryakuma and Madrox died by the hands of Shaalo and Odr (/cry). Thanks to their sacrifice, we finally got rid of their BHrs and killed the dark force user Stepo Kedur (/bow).
Their Bhrs continued to harass us (well me) and Treize and I started a 4vs2 fight. We were outnumbered and The jedi padawan who was fighting with me died but offered a fierce resistance to the Siths. Finally their BHrs got killed at the end of the fight.

I hope this will encourage you to join the fight either if you are imp or rebel.

You have try to attack us,and I hope,you continue to do . But,I think ,Turrets hit really really hard,and just disavantage the side who attack.

MISSION REPORT: Early today a team of Rebel commandos [PyroStarter, BRICKWALL, Fashion, Fieryakuma] were inserted behind Imperial ROE positions at Vishous P-acres and Con Diarmid.

The mission was to weaken the Imperial defences on Naboo. A total of 13 turrets across six bases were destroyed.

The commandos would like to thank local resistance vendors in both cities for supplying the rockets that help fell the turrets.

Your Emperor,in is Extreme generosity...recently send some stuffs ,Bases,Troopers on Naboo,Tatooine,and Corellia for help Imperials who fight everyday versus that rebels scums.
This 3 planets are now under our control.
And Due to the efficiency of the Imperials Destroyer.An Strong Bombardment on they're Primary base on Anarchy..just let put all Turrets..smoking ;D
