Was wondering if anyone has done much testing on their Jedi hunting template since publish 8. If so, have you made any changes to your template and what are those?

I'm currently
MBH
Scout 44xx
Pistols xx44
Nov Brawler
Debating whether to keep novice brawler or to go carb state defense or medic.

I would add 2x3x medic. Cure bleeds and use big janta C's.

Ok but I can't have that and nov brawler. So you're saying medic over brawler/intim.

i wouldn't advise using any medic with mbh,an invest 3 build yes.
You cant heal your mind pool and i would not deplete a resource you cannot replenish with so little defenses.Jedi will just eat you up with 1 handed mind hit if they notice your mind pool going down.

Having said that, what are a couple of good post pub 8 templates with MBH?

You only have a few options as mbh just the same as jedi if they really want to survive bhs they must take defender or master healer,innate saber defenses hidden in the master box don't exist as people perceive it to be (think of it as a route to saber defense).Keep that in mind and you might survive 30 secs longer then the average BH and 30 secs is a long time :D

So out of the following options:

Carbineer State Defense Line
(+25 Def. vs. Intim; +15 Def. vs. KD, Counterattack)

Rifle Combat Line
(+30 Melee Def)

Not great options but feels like melee defense would be greater than the state defenses overall but not sure.

Until the devs bring the lightsaber accuracy down to normal pre cu levels, investing in melee defense, dodge, block, and counterattack will render no protection against jedi. I have tested this post pub 8 and jedi hit you everytime.

Best defense is to stay out of lightsaber range. Toughness food and psgs help if it can't be avoided but doesn't last long. Intimidate works well when it lands. Buys a little room til jedi clears states.

I used to solo knights with a good sucess rate before pub 8. I die more post pub 8 than I used to win. Something different about knights. I don't know what it is yet other than increased saber block. Not complaining. I do relish the challenge.

I too, am testing for a new build to increase profits. There isn't many options because robe toughness and extreme lightsaber accuracy. They take melee professions and defense investment out of consideration. I prefer ranged, just my cup of tea.

Thanks for the info! That makes me think offense and carbs or another ranged prof. My BH vladukis sent you an IG email last night asking you a few questions. I had heard pub 8 felt different...that's why i was asking for specific templates (to little avail) but I understand if you won't give away your secrets. Let me know if we can talk IG. THANKS

PSGs and food. With an unsliced PSG and steak you'll mitigate around 75% and you can increase that if you care to use sliced PSGs.

Mbh, 0440 Carbineer, Nov brawler, medic.

I use Carbs only tho, I don't enjoy cookie cutter templates like LLC. I can't solo Knights, but have killed a few full temps in my time.

Carbs is a support profession.

Powers can be tricky. LLC does more damage overtime than force lightning. Lightning hits you everytime for good damage. It depends on their template. If they can heal and clear states, it can be a long fight.

I try to stay out of their range, force intimidate turns your LLC into a pistol. If the force kd gets you with dizzy, can't stand up in time, lightning can kill you fast. Force choke and one handed hits to the mind can end it for you too. Stay away from them. Fight no closer than 40 meters. If you think you can finish them off, run up to 30 meters and throw a trap. They kd you in 32 meters. So timing is everything. Powers is tricky. If they know how to play powers with good choices in supporting jedi skills, will be a challenge.

I mostly agree with this, smart hunters will psg/food tank you while you burn out all your force currently. Once a powers jedi is out of force its GG for the hunter. I would argue that choke isn't worth the force cost or skill delay currently. Two hunters make fairly short work of powers, the kit just cant handle it currently.

Agree with you odr. Two or more bhs, powers better run. The choke is weak and needs a monster boost to be a threat. One on one encounters I speak of mostly. If you are dizzy, kd, choked, one handed mind hits, bounty hunter dies fast. If bounty hunter on his feet, no.
