Back in the day on the old live servers we had a staff sponsored home show. Players would send in a few screen shots of the decorating work they had done and once a month someone would be featured with a write up about their structure and a few more screenies added. Recently we've been seeing more and more great deco work popping up on our little section of the Galaxy, and we'd like to revive the tradition of featuring the great work being done. We'd like to recognize the crafters and decorators of the server.
Take some screen shots of a few favorite features of your buildings. It doesn't matter if you did the deco work, or someone else did, we'll make sure they get mentioned if you hired out for it. Send the screenies in a private message to me, Taltos, and once every 60 days a lucky player will be chosen to have a write up done with a tour of the structure. The winner will receive a unique rug/painting of their choosing as well.
Be sure to tell your friends in game since we know not everyone comes to the forums on a regular basis. I am reviving this as we have some amazing decorators and decorated buildings all over Awakening that deserve to be recognized. Let's keep this going and show everyone just how creative you can be in this game, in a variety of ways!
Here's how we do it, and subject to change at any time:
- I'm going to allow people to nominate other people's deco work.
- Send screen shots to me in a private message (limit 10 pls). Please provide a way point to your structure including the planet, or let me know if this is a private structure. Screen shots need to be no bigger than 800 x 600 please. Already resized pics will make Taltos a happy CSi! Alternatively, you can send me a link to an album where your pictures are featured, but please still limit it to 10.
- Two weeks before the end of the two month period I will create a poll for you to vote your favorite deco work.
- You may submit multiple structures.
- Previously submitted work that has not won may be resubmitted if you choose. I will not do this automatically, you will need to let me know.
- You may submit a structure someone else has decorated for you and they will also get credit for it if they wish to claim it.
- If your structure is chosen you may submit another structure or feature the following go rounds, but you can only win the prize once.
