So I'm kinda curious. How many Bounty Hunters can take a jedi mission at once? Are we going to put in some sort of safe guard so a Jedi character can't grind three bounty hunters and take their own missions to prevent themselves from being hunted?

I mean having 10 characters kind of allows for that and I think this has certainly been a topic of discussion in voice chats. Is it possible to make the BH missions default to fail once the BH logs out for more than 5 or 10 min? Being able to hold your three missions without them ever dropping allows for no risk grinding as a Jedi and I hope this doesn't take place but knowing how much time some have on their hands, I'm sure it will.

Can we get some clarification how this will work and IF in fact people try to circumvent the system this way .. what happens? I mean in live asking a friend to hold your mission was a big deal because well people had one character per account and it was their means to make money, but with 10 character's it is not restrictive at all.

Just wondering IF this is on the development radar and what will be done to prevent this from taking place?

3 Bounty Hunters can hold a player Jedi mission at any one time.

If players are grinding 3 alternative toons (bounty hunters) to hold there own Jedi mission or that of friends, with favour being returned, they can theoretically control their own deaths. At that point the entire system of visibility goes out the window that Jedi can hunt and grind the profession on anything without the fear of visibility, death and experience loss from a bounty hunter.

This system needs serious evaluation to prevent exploitation. I also think the Awakening team should take firm action against anyone who does try to abuse the system until a solution is found.

I agree, there should also be some strict measures taken for those who abuse the system by taking their own jedi's mission in order to kill them for the credits over and over again. It's one thing to ask a friend to take your mission to clear your visibility from the terminals and split the cash, but quite another to 'farm yourself' to get credits.

I strongly agree with the above statements.

As having a BH as my main I would if the above was going on and I was unable to have a chance to hunt a Jedi now and than.

/agree, this happened a lot on live not only with jedi, but guild members helping each other out in PvP by eliminating there bounties and sharing the creds. :-\

I have less problem with having your bounty cleared .. especially if you are doing a guild outing ... than i do with a grinding jedi having bhs hold their missions so they dont' have to worry about visibility at all. THAT would be game breaking. But yeah a full template farming themselves for cash would be silly as well, and i'm guessing some idiot is going to try it.

Completely agree. I *thought* i read somewhere it was going to be 5 bh's that could hold a jedi bounty here, but don't quote me. I've been known to be mistaken in the past. Either way, still exploitable. As much as i am pro-jedi, i'm also pro-bh. I hope the staff here has some kind of plan to prevent people grinding out a bunch of BH's to circumvent the tef/visibility of any jedi. I like Jwyork's idea of having the mission fail by default if said BH were to be logged out for X amount of time. I can't come up with a better suggestion myself.

If I hear of, or see anyone doing this, I WILL report them to the staff and pray that they take action.

That won't be tolerated here. It almost certainly would guarantee that the bounty hunter characters in question would get a lengthy timeout. Not to mention any jedi character caught abusing the system like this would be deleted. Ed and I don't tolerate cheaters or exploiters, same goes for people planing on fight clubbing for FRS advancement.

Any action in these matters will be swift and final.

Ok so question, as a young and aspirating bounty hunter what if you come across a young Jedi? By young I mean pulled a bad moved clicked the wrong button and is now on the bounty boards? You track him down and its not even worth the money you put into the droids. I hear that young Jedi often don't have great control of the force and sometimes things just happen. Now I love the hunt, its the best part and you went through all this trouble to hunt this poor creature down and the fight was so fast that your kinda feeling sorry for him you incap him and then stand there. After a bit of a conversation with yourself because your not a bad guy more or less you tell him you will hold his bounty for a while and you know your not the only one maybe the next guy wont be as nice. You however were raised on the belief that Jedi were the ultimate in big game and so can you hold his bounty let him get a bit stronger and give the little fellow a fighting chance?

You put him down. You collect your credits and next time he'll be a better fight.

Meh the creds are not why I am there, why kill a child when you can follow him back to his master?

I suppose if the hunt is wasted and I have already lost the creds I just drop the mission and let someone who kills children have the bounty... Would be a waist of time to collect money from an unworthy hunt, and the shame I would bring to my clan....

My thoughts exactly when I used to RP-PVP a Mandalorian.

Well i'm not a roleplayer but you could always incap them and make them pay you more money not to kill them. I did that a few times on live. I also still killed a few of them after I got my money...

A very interesting idea, though the second part after you got the money wouldn't work for his sense of wrong and right the first part does.
