Any Combat Medics Out There?

I was wondering if there were any CM's in game and if you enjoy playing that profession. I'm at a crossroad. I'm not sure whether I want to go the doctor route or CM. I see a lot of docs but very few CM's. Thanks for any responses.

CM is often pair with Master Rifles. Very deadly pair that is.

I have a former Doctor/Musician I am trying to re-jigger into a Combat Medic... but started him off as a Carbineer but am thinking Rifles is the way to go... so he is in limbo right now... but looking forward to healing myself for large amounts and poisoning others at the same time... ;D

Yup... I had never done much with Carbineer in LIVE... thought it might be fun to try something new (had always liked Pistoleer for bleeds and Rifles for range/mind pool...) from what I've seen in the forums it looked like Carbs had more draw backs than benefits... thx for the info.

My understanding is carbines is very under rated in pre-cu. Naturally there are strong arguments that without BH carbines it is weaker due to it relies on reaching accuracy cap andspeed cap. Though i recall doing research that with proper tapes and such that can still be done. Both sides i recall have strong cases to argue but this was over in the original Emu forums where Basilisks server is and what it came down to there was knock down, dizy, stuff like that was broken where one could properly spec, get food, and tape to have 100% resistance to such affects rendering carbines useless. My understanding is that was a known big / issue and was not the case in live. I also remember hearing people tell me plenty of times on live they played carbines and combat medic... everynow and again a bounty hunter would be carbines i knew. I is a very under dog spec compared to rifles it sounds like but one of those specs if used correctly and know who to combo skills (where riflemen is spam same skill over) it can be very affective.

I plan on making a pvp build once i finish some classes i desire to master and am strongly considering returning to my old notes of research into a carbines build.

My other reason for going Carbines was because my main (Hefe) and one of my alts (Jinx) are both Ranger types for hunting and they are already Rifles and Pistols respectively, so thougtht I would give Carbines a try for the Combat Medic... still not sure if I will stay Carbines on him or switch... he has barely completed the Carbines line in Marksman (he was primarily Medic/Doc... has several of the lower level Doctor boxes full so has met the Medic requirements for Combat Medic, but not the Combat requirements...)

My other profession is pistoleer. I've only got the novice box but close to having enough xp to open the 1st tier. I've a few boxes in scout so that I can harvest my kills and have a little better terrain negotiation. I'm looking into joining into a guild so that I can eventually put my doc or cm skills to good use. Any guilds need a future cm or doc?

Hello,

My main is a CM/Rifleman, always loved it..and your group will love you too :)

In PvP the opponents will hate you and will most likely target you first so havla is your friend so you can get to toss atleast 2 area mind poisons. Also take a look at the link i posted earlier about the general CM guide, it will give you a rough idea on resources and so forth.

As I am still in the stages of earning the Marksman Combat xp to qualify for the Novice box, aside from my ranged weapon of choice, are there any other suggested skills to go for (ex: scout, ranger, do I stick mainly with the new specials that Combat Medic brings, or do I fill out some of the trees in Doctor, or would more crafting points give me better poisons, etc.)?

This toon was originally going to be a Doctor with one of the entertainer builds (Doctor/Musician)... I already have the Master Medic and several Doctor boxes... while I lvl up the Marksman Combat xp I took Scout so I can make some credits with harvesting, but wasn't sure if there were other skills that would complement Combat Medic in the long run.
