The subject says it all here. I know this was a change made in live, though I'm not entirely sure when. Given that it makes bandoliers more useful and therefore more likely to be purchased it seems a no-brainer to me. Heck, I am not super knowledgeable about code, but it seems that this may be that this is even easy to implement. If you're looking for the best reason, though, it is that the Weaponsmith version of the crafting aprons isn't an apron - it is a bandolier, and to equip it you need to remove your backpack and the stuff in it.

Just a thought. I figured instead of seeing suggestions that involve adding content, JTL, or adding completely new abilities to professions, that maybe you would appreciate someone trying to point out low hanging fruit.

Kinda seems OP cuz rendering packs vs bandoliers moot point. Not to mention unrealistic and immersion breaking. I don't recall this in the NGE even. I think it is better players need to choose between pack for extra inventory... or bando for convenience of getting tapes on it but giving up extra inventory.

That was part of live. Bandoliers could hold 50 items. As unrealistic as being able to carry 50 large mineral harvesters in a backpack or on your person for that matter.

I think the current trade-off between bandoliers and backpacks is fine.

You either choose to have 4 AA slots on a bandolier or 50 extra inventory spaces in your backpack. If bandoliers were made to hold 50 items then backpacks would become almost entirely worthless.

Don't know about realism, but I am pretty sure I could hold several million units of Metal on my person at any given time. #neverskipslegday

I will be honest here and admit I had forgotten about bandoliers having sockets for skill tapes.

Perhaps we could ask that some bandoliers be considered to be made containers, but without sockets? The weaponsmith bandolier I really feel needs to be a wearable container with its bonuses intact, perhaps with its sockets even, provided it is required to have Weaponsmith profession to equip. I don't see where that would upset the order of things.
