I'm happy to announce that Halcyon is now a research center. As always, all are welcome to reside, though we are particularly keen on having more crafters and merchants in town. To that end, we're offering the following perks to all residents:

1. As mentioned, a research center city specialization (15% bonus to experimentation rolls).
2. No taxes whatsoever.
3. A free small or medium Tatooine style house for every declared resident (with one month's maintenance paid up front for a small, and 1 week paid for a medium)
4. Substantial discounts on nearly any structure, including harvesters of the highest quality.
5. Free access to factories until you can maintain your own.
6. Public access to +40 rated crafting stations at two locations within the city.
7. Available vendor space in the Halcyon mall.

Additionally, prospective residents are not required to join a faction or guild. Halcyon is a neutral city with no official guild affiliation, though if you are looking for that we do have very friendly and active guilds in town that we can happily point you towards. We are also very happy to host any other guilds that are looking for a developed player city to call home.

honestly, I am surprised at how well Halcyon is doing. It has become a nice active city on Tat, with helpful citizens.

Greetings! Pre-CU player returning to my first and favorite MMO and looking for a home. Found Halcyon in my explorations and like it very much and would definitely be interested in establishing residence there. Just getting started on my Wookie Erja, who will eventually be Master Scout/CH/Rifleman. I will also be creating a Ranger/Bio-Engineer as well, and possibly more alts down the road. Would like to know what I need to do to get setup in Halcyon, if you will have me. Thanks!

I have been living in Halcyon for a little over a week now and have found it to be an extremely convenient city with crafters of all sorts, and the vendor mall has a ton of traffic. I have made it my base of operations for -Rx- Industries Droid Engineering and cannot wait to open up my headquarters to the public soon! Seriously, Athyn has been extremely hospitable and all my neighbors are nice as well. Anyone looking for a great research center town- this is it!

Please contact me (Athyn/Lovelight) regarding residency. I'm on periodically on most days. We're expanding to the north so there's more room now on the plateau for those that have an interest in placing a guild hall and or large housing. Deeds for these are available at a discounted price. Small and medium housing is also still available, with free deeds provided as always.
