So I can unlock Jedi and not have to worry about having to start over from scratch after 3 deaths ?

For some reason the thought of losing so much exp has always scared me more than a permadeath.. probably because I'd just rather start over completely than be hunted on the same toon again.

You must not yet know what is required to actually unlock, if you did... you would not feel that way here haha.

Yes but if you were killed as a Jedi on live you would still be able to create a new force sensitive character.

If my understanding is correct, and that's a big if because I haven't been here for very long. When you unlock forces sensitive its for that toon and that toon only. You do not get a fs slot. However like I said I may be wrong, I have not been here very long.

Right That toon is the one who becomes FS, Now this doesnt mean you cant earn a second one of your toons as FS as well. There is an Exp loss on death.

Permadeath was misleading in itself. Only an idiot would die to permadeath in Live, those 3 deaths decayed. 1 death decayed over the course of a week, so if you died twice the smart person parked their character for 7 days and played their alt, I do know a few people who "forgot" and had a permadeath jedi ... I believe I would have stabbed myself with a blunt object if I had done something so stupid in live.

My jedi was a very very early unlock, so I had the pleasure of seeing all the different changes in jedi over time. I did like the permadeath system, although once pvp because massive I was glad it was removed because there were times that our pvp battles raged on for 4 hours plus and it would have sucked to have to switch characters in the middle of a fight lol.
