Seemed to be some interest in this idea. Looking for people to moderate a Story section of the forums and manage contribution of fictional works.

I believe a section for contributions should be created. In this section anyone who wishes to contribute fan fiction or in-game fiction can do so. From these contributions the Council will decide what content should be included in Awakening's lore. For the most part, staff will consider this work official canon. I advise the Council to exercise restraint and stay consistent with the Star Wars universe and minimize conflict with existing storylines. This may significantly limit what content can be selected from the contribution section.

Post here if you'd like to be a charter member.

I am interested, just need a baseline.

Are we cannon with the films?

Or are we straying?

Obviously if we have jedi npc's and jedi players about soon we will need to stray from canon slightly.
And there will be an awakening!

There really shouldn't be much prollem in staying with canon /and/ having our own Jedi. It's not like the timeline is going to move so the setting and what happens in that timeline won't change and it should be pretty simple to keep any interaction from well known characters (I.E. The Emperor/ Luke Skywalker) either very true to their character or just avoid it all together.

Very true. As long as people avoid the "I was vaders apprentice's son's lover" bout.

I think you guys have the right idea. People can tell whatever kind of story they want. Someone has to decide what makes the cut.

The main problem is your stories can't have universe shaking consequences, limiting the author's ability to create drama. If the fate of the entire universe doesn't hang in the balance, the Luke/Vader climax in RoTJ loses something.

Exactly, It was always a peeve of mine when people would write biographies of being Vaders personal apprentice and the like. I don't mind you having a relationship to him, but at least make it a casual one at best.

Creating -your- story is much more fun then piggybacking on-top of others. And allows us to create unique storylines.
