Droids

One of my alts is almost a master Ranger and i was thinking that a harvesting and trap droid combo would be a help. I have been looking on the vender search and there are basically no droids of this type. Is this due to lake of good resources for the needed modules or just no market. The server is somewhat new so the market may not have grown yet, and the number of master DE's is most likely low, If everyone thinks there is no market and don't make them then there isn't a market

Also don't see many combat droids either, I seem to remember those as being a bit more common on live.

Thanks i will do that. I am getting conflicting or unclear information on how much if any the harvesting droid would be helpfull for a master ranger. I will do more reading as well. There are so many modules and not enough space for them

i have a master ranger and have tested out harvester droids. I can't find my numbers when i tested but it was a little bit of a boost. They are a bit buggy, you have to program them each time you call them to set harvest interest and turn on auto harvest. They really bug on on large creatures being close enough to the point where you can harvest. Maybe someone else has had better luck with them though.

The harvest droids are slightly buggy at the moment due to a change that was made, there are some changes to them on the test server.

The harvest droids seem to work fine as long as you group with them if solo and as long as you don't group with them if in a group. They can cause a corpse not to be harvestable by others once in a while though.

Confirmed the above tonight. I made a test droid with an 84 harvesting rating and gave it to a friend of mine with Hunting IV. As long as the droid was ungrouped with us group, it worked great. The difference on the creatures we were hunting was 330 units of meat without the droid, and 470 units of meat with the droid.

Ok i have two more questions, first it appears that once you have a droid in your data pack there is no transfer command like on pets so it cannot be transfered to another alt? Second if i have novice medic i can use stimpack a and b's if i get a droid with a medic level of 55 can i use stronger stimpacs if it is deployed with me?

You can trade datapad items just like regular items. Open up the datapad and drag drop the item in the trade window. The stim pack mod will only work with stim As and out of combat. I guess it might be useful for keeping an entertainer going?

I was thinking more of a droid with a medical rating of 55, which is the lowest available i think and if it will raise my medical rating to 60 so in effect i can use stim c or d, not a stim dispensing droid.

No way to raise your own medicine use, not with a droid and not with the skill tapes as those do not work. Doctors can experiment down the med use of stims, to a point.
