So, just returned a couple days ago. Working on BH. Currently marks 3433. I have been getting buffs and doing 10kish missions. I am getting 425 ish xp for rawl kills, but it seems so tedious getting about 6k per nest/mission. So I tried a fambaa one. Took for ever to kill one. 1800 xp was nice but didn't seem great per min. I have killed random things in the wild that give me 800-1000 xp (like spitting Rawls) but I don't see missions for things like that.
Is there a place to pick up missions with xp in that range? Tried dant last night and had results similar to fambaas. Also is some of the prob weps? I picked up a crafted "starter" set for like 10k each (1 each of pistol, carb, and rifle). I am thinking I need to consider an upgrade but being brand new and having minimal funds I am a scared to blow like 50k+ on a wep only to find out I bought a crappy one. What should I be looking for In regards to weapon purchases so I maximize my investment?
Last, I also bought like a starter set of ubese armor (like 20k with 60somwthing kinetic resists). Is that servicble for now or do I need to look into more top end AR as well?
Any input appreciated! Thanks I advance!

If you're wanting to go BH, getting terminal slicing in smuggler will greatly speed up your investigation grind (which is worse than slicing).
Also depends on the type of BH, but you should definitely pick up a specialized elite prof, like Pistoleer or Rifles. Not only will this make the grind for the BH boxes easier, but you'll also be able to access higher level missions that deal the most XP/credits.
As for where you are now, with armor, just grab ent/doc buffs and join a solo group to do the high-level rawl missions until you decide to master something. Once you have a few boxes into an elite prof, you can switch to bolle bols or fambaas, both knockdown, but fambaas definitely give the most XP until you can do enraged rancors on Dathomir.
If I didn't say it before, you really should do Bounty Hunter last, after the rest of your template is built. Also getting Novice Commando gives you cert for the Launcher Pistol, which is a pistol that counts for Heavy Weapons (LLC boxes). I'm pretty sure that pistol skill mods and abilities work with it.
TL;DR: Focus on what kind of BH you want to be, pistols, carbines, or LLC (which is really only good for Jedi). Then you can master the elite prof regarding the weapon, pistoleer, carbineer, or commando(?). Stay ent/doc buffed, get brandy, dodge food, and a really fast weapon. When you're grinding, damage is not nearly as important as speed. The faster it is, the quicker you can kill things. Rinse and repeat. A true bounty hunter will have to give you tips on actually grinding BH boxes.

Thanks. Plan on going pistols as a specialization. I guess I just needed to know if I could be getting weapon and combat xp than the Rawls will give as it seems like that method will take forever at 425 Xp per kill. Guess I gotta just suck it up until I unlock more boxes in pistols tho.
Are there any guides that offer advice on weapons and armor that I can reference? Like I said, I am new with limited funds atm. Would hate to miss out on a bargain priced weapon bc I don't know what I am looking for as well as overpay for crap
Thanks!

Unfortunately, the economy doesn't really offer too much in the "bargain." A good grind pistol can cost from 20-100k, depending on how good you want it to be.
Ubese kin suit will cost around 40-60k, with comp 80% being 70k+.
Get buffed, get in a solo group, and do rawl missions on naboo. Get yourself some armor ASAP.

Faambas aren't optimal for XP until you've unlocked the 4th box in any column of the elite profession you're working on - they won't give their full XP amount until you've done so. Conversely, rawls are only sensible for XP very early on, though they remain a good option for undeveloped characters to make money off of. Where you are now, you'd probably be best off looking for gualama and falumpaset missions, and graduating up to bolle bols and faambas as you're working on pistoleer.southfrance wrote:I guess I just needed to know if I could be getting weapon and combat xp than the Rawls will give as it seems like that method will take forever at 425 Xp per kill. I will second pretty much all of that. There is a BH investigation grind guide on the internet. Cap the XP (10k I think) on Investigation 1 unless you are going to use smuggler. As for weapons XP, Body Shot from Pistol is by far the best low level special attack. Get to Fan Shot in Pistoleer (xx4x) and take creature missions . Easy money. If you choose to get Novice BH while working on Pistoleer, you get access to the Scatter Pistol which is Acid damage with a great min and max damage range.IsolimTso wrote:Unfortunately, the economy doesn't really offer too much in the "bargain." Do gualama and falumpaset missions show up on the terminals? If so, in what pay out range? I have been getting buffed in Diarmid and staying in the XP group to hunt. I am only seeing Faambaa, rawl, and Bol missions showing - though I am only looking in the 10k+ payout range so if they are 9k or lower I have not been opening.beowulfchauffeur wrote:southfrance wrote:Faambaas aren't optimal for XP until you've unlocked the 4th box in any column of the elite profession you're working on - they won't give their full XP amount until you've done so. Yes, they're lower - around 6k I believe, though I'm not 100%.southfrance wrote:Do gualama and falumpaset missions show up on the terminals? If so, in what pay out range? You can't be in a solo group to get those missions. AT-ST/Heavy Weapons Specialist will literally wipe those from the board because of their high combat level. So you'll have to find someone of middling expertise to group with in order to take advantage of the 20-25% bonus to experience gained by grouping.
Scatter Pistol is a pretty good pistol too. There are plenty of weaponsmiths around with their vendors, so feel free to ask them what they would charge for a good grind pistol. (>2 speed, good damage.)

EDIT:
That's true for anything you kill, really. That's why I suggested bolle bols first. They don't knockdown or dizzy as much as fambaas. With spin 2 (or whatever the pistoleer equivalent is, I suppose fan shot), bolle bols aren't too bad with pikatta pie and good armor. Should also grind out some medic medicine use so you can use decent stims. Never hurts in a fight.beowulfchauffeur wrote:Faambas aren't optimal for XP until you've unlocked the 4th box in any column of the elite profession you're working on - they won't give their full XP amount until you've done so. Bolle bols also won't give their maximum amount of XP to people in novice professions, you'll get better mileage for your time off of lower mobs until you're into your elite profs. By the time you have fan shot, you're nearly ready for faambas, although a bit of dodge doesn't hurt.IsolimTso wrote:That's true for anything you kill, really. Just checked out Qin's shop, he has grind Ubese for 20k. Only a couple of suits, though.

Think I am good now thanks guys. Found a DL44 on a vendor for 50k. Has like 0.6 speed and approx 280 max Dmg (maybe higher even not home so can't check atm). Am 3444 marks and novice pistols. Ran across a Faambaa. Tried killing it. Took me about 5m before to kill one. With new gun took it down in about 30s. Prompted me to go pick up a nice Spraystick too so I could finish off marks and then pass it on to my CM/rifles.
Now just gotta save a little more for a good set of AR and I should be golden for a while to start finishing off some adv profs. Thanks again

I have "Expert Droid Production, Expert droid Construction Techniques, Expert Droid Refinement, and Master Droid Blueprints.
