Got a quick question. Which secondary defenses; ie dodge, block, counter attack; does a flamethrower fall under? According to this page http://www.swgemu.com/archive/scrapbook ... t_002.html
Secondary Defenses
Dodge, Counter Attack and Block are secondary defenses. These defenses are weapon dependant. Pistols and 1-handed melee weapons use dodge. Carbines and 2-handed melee weapons use counter attack. Rifles and Polearms use Block. These defenses come into play if and only if the proper weapon is equipped and a hit is successful against the primary defenses.
It doesn't list it, so does anybody know if it is associated/works with one of them?

And while I'm at it, does Defense Accuity from the TK tree work with any weapon or only melee weapons or Unarmed?

Sorry if these are all easy answers, but I'm very much a noob at SWG and my google-fu has failed me in finding the answer to these questions.

thats one of the broken parts of the commando, there r no 2ndary defs that work for the mando using heavy weps :(
would be nice to get some, especially as the commando has the unarmed skills as base; maybe the staff can do something about it and fix the many broken parts of the commando!!!!! :)

i fear for now u have to stack as many Primary defs as u can get and then get some defs vs as well

Wow, thanks for the info. I really hope the devs get around to fixing the Commando at some point then.

well dont get me wrong, the commando is broken in many ways but its still alot of fun to Play a mando and if u do it right with ur def stacking, wep selection and tape gathering, u can have a very powerfull char, often not easy to Play but as soon as u learn ur weaknesses and Advantages u can do a hell of a bbq ;)

Thank you I'll keep that in mind for the Commando. I still plan to grind out a Commando because the idea of cooking people with a flamethrower just sounds too good to pass up, no matter how much work and credits needs to go into to make it good.

you can block with the flamethrower. I am rifleman/commando and block alot. Not sure if intended though.
