how about givin padawans a tef for wearing a robe/saber in public npc citys?
(everyone, reb/imp or neutral could attack them)
they need to hide!

No that is a stupid idea, you don't even see a ton of jedi anywhere anyway. The way jedi works right now is completely fine.

It's for my good in terms of annoyance and it's to random benefit as well, if anyone attacked me accidentally or otherwise I'd kill them. Same as if I find a combat player or crafter overt. Padawans become SF/attackable by opposing faction at a relatively early amount of invested skill points. Before this point, not many are running around in robes anyway. Just keep those eyes peeled for the red dot.

Jason was referring to the (iirc) 150 skill point boundary wherein you're forced to choose a faction, so there wouldn't be neutral padawans at this point.
