SWG Experience(How long you played on live or in what update pre-cu/CU/NGE): I remember watching my ex-BF play during launch week (oh the wait times). He let me roll a toon and I was hooked. Had to get my own account right away. I played on Flurry and my name was Corinna Kimn. A BH who liked to spend her idle time dancing and singing in the cantina in Wayfar. Yeah a BH with nov ent. lol. Ahh good times. Played steadily up until the CU and the NGE then just drifted away. So glad to be able to get back into SWG again!

Greetings. I am interested in joining the Awakening server community.

In the ancient traditions of my real life ancestors a newcomer to a village that wished to join it was expected to either be asked to join publicly, or to ask public themselves, so that all in the village could either approve the request or deny it. I agree with this practice, especially where I as the applicant is concerned. As I grow older I realize I may not be a good fit in all MMO communities. Better I know right away if I should look elsewhere and better for your the Members here as well.

If there be anyone at all here that would disapprove of myself joining Awakening, please PM me on these forums. I will respect your decision and I will not make it public on these or any other forums. Of course I will be disappointed if I am asked to not join but also I will honor your wishes and look elsewhere. I ask that any comments or questions concerning my post or request be sent by PM to me so it does not clutter up the forums here.

I will give this a few days and check back on Friday September 25th. If I receive no PMs concerning my request by that time I will consider You deemed my request as acceptable. Until then.

Hello Awakening! It's nice to be here, playing my favourite game once again. I'm mostly a weekend player these days, hopefully that will change once I move closer to where I work...

SWG Experience: FarStar EU server, main was a blue Twi'lek named Aradia. I played from a couple of months after launch until six months before server death. I started life as TKA/Doctor, and went on to master many professions, of which my favourites were Ranger, Droid Engineer and Entertainer.

I occasionally roleplayed as a Dathomiri Force Witch, descendant of a jedi taken captive and enslaved by the Nightsisters. Hence, I invested in Powers when I unlocked the jedi trees and spent many a happy evening frying lackeys of the Empire.

Some of my best memories include mastering Pilot, taking BH so I could extort credits from Jedi with a friend, taking part in mass RP events and having my guild help me complete my jetpack.

I hope to make many more memories and friends here, see you in the 'verse!

I played SWG since closed beta because I was member of a big german community page and we got beta keys I started on Gorath at release, but stayed there for only 3 or 4 weeks. I switched to testcenter because I liked the community and the direct interaction with the devs. I reported a lot of bugs and I loved it when plonk a dev appeared and told me to show me the bug. We found a lot of heavy bugs. I remember we reported a bug with the wookie armor crashing the client under some circumstances. That was one day before the patch went live. I suppose the devs had a long night Reward for our help was a ticket to jtl alpha 100 test. The devs invited 100 players from tc to play jtl long before it went beta.
I left swg about 2 or 3 months later, before CU. I also returned - don't know how many times - and played for only 1 or 2 months. I didn't really like all the updates. It ruined the game. But SWG was and will be always in my heart and I was sad because of the server shutdown.

Ive never actually played the original Galaxies series as my circumstance prevented it,I have always wanted to and kept up to date with much of the Galaxies trials and tribulations as a mmorpg. I allways wanted to play the 'original' with the mystery version of the path to Jedi. I now have the Disc and am on the verge of trying the game on this server, can't wait!

I started SWG pre-cu; drove my little vehicle right off the cliff outside Theed and thought I’d died, apparently I screamed IRL, LOL. After that trauma I played for two full days and LOVED it, despite being chased by various animals across the globe, then SWG went down. After a discussion with a GM via phone I found out about the CU (not sure how I missed any signs ingame about it, I like to think I was having too much fun). I continued to play on Ahazi, Corbantis, and Lowca for a LONG time... till the apoca-NGE. In protest I packed up and moved to my entertainer on Lowca where I pretended I didn’t care about it all for a while. Finally I put on my big girl panties attended a few Mando-meetings and then moved my mando chick in her glorious armor that I miss (gotta make me some to wear IRL!) and her vast amounts of trinkets that I found precious to Starsider “where all the ‘RP’ers were going” because my server was DEAD. I found the guild MSC and a great bunch of rowdy pirates and unbeknownst to me met my future husband there. After raising lots of hell moved the rest of my gals over and continued to plague the galaxy till we married and retired to Shadowfire right before the game was brutally shut down for space-WOW. Haven't really dabbled too much into the resurrected SWG's but am excited to now!

I startet playing SWG some weekes after release 2004, after the NGE i didnt play for almost 1 year. The Force brought me back and i played until they said the turn off the game.. SWG was and still is my favorite game.

I played SWG since day one, i was one of the first players in getting a copy of the game when first realese, it was crazy back then, lots of fun, i played for about 5 years non stop, i got all the expansions, i was one of the first in become force sensitive, then the update and the crap began, never returned till i found out about this emulators, i'm having a blast and lots of fun, only been back for a week or so, but i'm planning to stay.

SWG Experience- I played as Batmorph on Valcyn since 2003. Amazed I walked across Bestine and met a cool guy named Martok(in RL died, may he rest in peace). We started hanging out and walked into the cantina where I met T'erra. I then started to invite loads of cool folks to the guild I ran for 2 1/2 years called THC(The Hunt Club). We were neutral more RP/PVE. I started the city Nexus on Dantooine. Around 2005-6 we changed the guild name to RPG(Royal Praetorian Guards). Another guild formed called Ikon under a character named Lodra, we coexisted happily for about a year and a half, the city was huge. We all helped each other out and started Pvping. We fought many battles with other cities and always won. We fought fair always letting the Rebels clone and regroup.

I remember logging back in as the server was shutting down to find we were all still banned from a few of those cities, lol. My wife Katmorph was also in game, not to run anything, she was more into going out in huge groups to run missions. My Wookie married her human character in that city. The only time two of our characters have been married in an MMO. I still have the pictures on a disk I found the other day. We were married in town hall in front of many guild members/good friends. T'erra performed the beautiful ceremony. We had fun on starstrider I think it was for a while after they shut our server down. We met the podcaster Mr. Wiggles and Mr. Bubbles I think their names were and went to a few of their in game parties at the end.

Hello there!! I was watching star wars episodes 4,5 and 6 after watching episode 7 and it hit me in the feels and i started remembering the great times i had playing this game, and i started looking for this game, i have known about the game been shut down for a long time now, and sadly i cant play this not sure where my disc are to install, are there any places where i can find a copy of this game? i havent had any luck looking online, any help would be great i miss this game and im glad u guys have it up and running

Gaming since the early 1990's, for mmo's it was a lot of UO - Bought SWG the day it came out, the collectors edition, twice, one for me and one for my brother - we played it until they ruined it, was a pretty good weaponscrafter/sniper. Never played an MMO since because they were all and still are all dumbed down "kill 10 squirrels become lvl 7" themepark wow clones, played SWTOR for a bit until wow with lightsabers bored me to tears.

Tried SWGemu a few days every year, now trying this one hoping it's more active and curious what you guys did to implement the force without having jedis roflstomp all over the server and thus destroying the game.

I'm sad an emulated version of a 13 year old game is still the only option to play a true sandbox mmorpg, but I'll ignore the graphics -& dig into it. Divergence online won't ever get the funding required, the repopulation is already dead and all the others have been low budget indie garbage.

I was involved in Sony's gamer outreach program since I was stationed overseas in Korea while my son and I played SWG together to stay in touch. I had played almost every profession there was but never quite made it to jedi. Maybe this time it will be different.
