Name is Kemble and I'm a Veteran Gamer since April of 1999 with the launch of Everquest on Tarew Mar. I have played just about every MMO under the sun since then and always under the same name.
I played SWG in beta and then on Day 1 of game launch and played it for just shy of 2 years (curses for falling in love with a real woman). Therefore, I never got to see/experience the infamous combat upgrade but I heard all about how it pretty much destroyed the game from friends and guild mates.
Fast forward 10 years and 2 kids later I'm finally getting around to having some weekday evening time to myself and so I've been back and forth for about a year now with many of the current MMO's out there but with all the micro transactions, pay-to-win, cash shops, etc, nothing gives me the satisfaction of a good old fashion MMO like they made them back in the day. As a crafter at heart I took it to google to search for the best crafting MMO's and SWG was #1 on many sites (and I can agree as I loved crafting in SWG). Anyhow, one of the sites I was on said that emulators have taken SWG by storm and that there were still thousands of players still playing SWG. Therefore I did some research and wound up here.
After reading the rules of how to play I was super excited because I knew I still had my Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided game box with discs and instruction book. In fact, I have 2 copies because I multi-boxed back in the day. But I'm too old for that now so no need to worry about that

I'm super excited to see how the game runs on my computer that is now light years better than my computer when I first played the game. I'm also very curious about how the game operates and the community etc, I've never played an emulator.
Anyhow, install is done, time to log in and see things first hand
