- Introduction
Hello my in game name is Mirei Seppen. If you need to contact me put Mirei on
your friends list. I was a helper back when the game originally came out till
around the time they turned the lights off. I am always up to help people.
Also if you are genuinely new to the game look me up and I will give you
some credits to get started. It's always hard to get going in a game. I hope this
guide will help you all. Also I am open always to suggestions on how to improve
this guide, but I want to also keep things simple so to not overwhelm. But
suggest away! =)

- Launcher
You need to use Awakenings launcher, not the launchers that allow multiple
servers. If you do not use Awakenings there will be issues like certain
things do not work well.

- Species
There are minor differences and bonus's in the races, however I will say
to simply pick what you don't mind looking at for hours on end. A few minor
points to remember however is Wookies and Ithorians can only wear there
species armour. Also Wookies do not start speaking Basic.

- Base Classes
1 - Brawler. Punching people in the face.
2 - Scout. Gathering resources from monsters like hide.
3 - Medic. The ability to heal yourself and others.
4 - Marksman. Shooting people in the face.
5 - Artisan. Crafting.
6 - Entertainer. Buffing others.

- Basic Controls
Rather then go into details about each command which can be seen from the
menu's I will instead do one major and a few minor points. I am not here to
insult your intelligence and most of this is rather self explanatory.
1 - Interface. Go to options, the wrench. Go to controls, then keymap,
Load a standard keymap, first person shooter. This is the one you will know
most easily.
2 - Freeing the Mouse. Press Alt
3 - Windowed Mode. Alt + Enter
4 - Dual Logging. On the launcher press config and make sure multiple instances
are enabled, then you can log two characters in from the same account and control
both in different windows.
6 - Chat channels. Each tab you can right click and hit modify to put in them tells,
guild, spatial, combat, etc. Do not forget to put in Neutral chat or your faction
chat. Otherwise you won't see people saying hello!
7 - Desync. Sadly there's desync here and there. So if nothing is moving in a fight
or at a cantina then softlog. Softlogging is logging out to the character select
screen then right back in. It fixes the problem.
8 - Population. Players do not tend to gather in the In game cities but instead
in the player cities. So when you first log in it might be a bit deserted in the
cities like Mos Eisely. Looking to the player cities and you will find people,
also remember Neutral chat.

- Buffing
1 - Doctor Buffs - Most auto docs will buff you for six buffs. Typically they want
a /tip of 7000 to 10,000 credits.
2 - Entertainer Buffs - Watch a dancer in a group then normally they will switch to music
for other buffs. Watch the entire performance for a full buff timer. Tip as you feel best.
3 - Terminal Buffs. Use these as a last result as they are less then a doctor buff.
But they are typically outside a starport.
4 - Battle Fatigue. Press o then you will see Battle Fatigue. It lowers the
effectiveness of healing. It can be healed by watching a musician/dancer in a
group with them. Click them and select watch.
5 - Wounds. This lowers your attributes, they can be healed by a medic or doctor.
6 - 24/7 Buffs. There are cities that always have a buffer present afk buffing. While
there are many of these I will only put down the ones I have confirmed do not mind
me adding them. If you want your town added please let me know. These towns are on
the world map, which is V.
Corellia - New Destiny
Naboo - Serenity & Avalon Prime
Tatooine - Bedrock & Tusken Bane
7 - You will be directed toward a mini suit, its a suit of armour that is only partially complete.
However you will not be able to put it on till buffed and if you take it off unbuffed you
can't put it on till your rebuffed. So just leave it on. =)

- Points of Interest
Each planet has a number of notable places that if visited give a badge saying you
have been here. It is a fun way to see new places. There is also swoop race tracks
but they are not listed.

Included below is a link about them.
http://www.swgemu.com/archive/scrapbook ... 127114530/

- Junk
Humanoids drop jump, a humanoid is anything with two arms, two legs, a head, and a
center mass. Some of the junk items like rug pieces can be put together to make a
complete item.

The following I would recommend against keeping do to low to no value.
Heavy Leather, Cloth, Heavy Clasps, Crystalline Clothing Treatment, Buff
Hypodermics, Hyperdrive Part, Droid Schematic, Dud Fireworks.

A few links about loot.

- Money Making
Get in a group, most of the buffer towns have one. Try staying in the group with
the dancer/musician you used. This will increase payoffs and start doing missions
from the terminal that simply says missions. Stick to animals because the humanoids
can be a bit dangerous. The higher the mission the more danger. I would suggest
your first investment be a swoop, your starter vehicle is slightly slow.

- Theme Parks
Theme Parks are chain quest lines based off a general theme. There is one for the
Imperials on Naboo. One for the Rebels on a large number of planets beginning with
Corellia before continuing elsewhere. Jabbas Palace is the most famous while Nym
on Lok and the Mauraders on Endor are fun too. Guides below. Also once you finish
each you may reset and redo each once.

Warrens

- Faction
Each enemy you kill that is a humanoid can raise your faction with some groups but
lower with another. At this point in your career you need not worry about this and
the damage done is easily fixable.

- Class Guides
I will be very brief in this as to not overwhelm.
1 - Brawler. Use whatever ability you get and kill outside Coronet in a group
with a buff. You will level quickly.
2 - Scout. Create and set down camps. Create and throw traps at monsters, harvest
hide from monsters.
Gathering resources from monsters like hide.
3 - Medic. Craft Stimpacks and heal peoples damage in cantina groups, try to heal
the main dancer/musicians if able.
4 - Marksman. Rifle use headshot, Pistol body shot, Carbine leg shot, stick with
these and grind any humanoid outside of Coronet. Never use Overcharged shot.
5 - Artisan. Sample using survey and work threw the tree. Make survey tools till
Engineering 3, then make personal mineral extractors till Engineering 4, then
personal Moisture vaporators till Master Artisan.
6 - Entertainer. Get in a cantina group and play your best instrument or dance.

- Elite Classes
You need not worry about these starting out but to let you know the breakdown.
1 - Melee: Swordsman, Fencer, Pikeman, Teras Kasai
2 - Ranged: Carbineer, Rifleman, Pistoleer
3 - Combat Hybrids: Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Commando, Squad Leader
4 - Crafting: Chef, Tailor, Droid Engineer, Merchant, Architect, Weaponsmith,
Armoursmith, Shipwright (Learnable but not usable), Bio Engineer
5 - Medical: Doctor, Combat Medic
6 - Scout: Ranger, Creature Handler
7 - Entertainer: Dancer, Musician, Image Designer

- Jedi
Jedi is unlocked threw seven steps. These steps while they can be similar to one
another but it is randomly determined when your character is made. A few suggestions
would be to get a elite job mastered. Do either the Rebel or Imperial Theme Park,
then do Jabba, Mauraders, and Nym's Theme Parks, do the Warrens, Theed Librarian,
and finally all the Point of Interest Locations. When that is done there is a
Force Shrine on Corellia outside of Bela Vistal.

/waypoint 6092, -5578

Kneel and meditate using the rock in the middle and it will tell you your progress.
However by the time your to that point you won't need this guide.

- Space
Space does not yet function. So no Jump to Lightspeed yet.
