PvP Templates [All-Range-Tank]

Hello all,

Since there is always the ongoing "There is no PvP" argument going around, how about we start sharing info on PvP templates and how we work with them instead of harboring them as the biggest secret ever. There is no point in keeping all the info bottled up to get advantage if there is no one to use it against.

The new guys joining the PvP scene get dishartened really fast if they keep getting bummeled down in seconds and no one tells them what they did wrong and why that other guy did not suffer the same faith even when it seems he/she is swinging the same weapons and wearing same type of armor.

Let me start off with one of my old favourite I have used in the past that gives good survivabilty and damage.

All-Range-Tank
Skillboxes: Master Rifleman/Master Fencer/Pistoleer xx4x/Marksman 44x4/Novice brawler
Defensive Skill Mods without tapes:
Block +80
Def. vs. Blind +90
Def. vs. Dizzy +90
Def. vs. KD +100
Def vs. Posture Down +70
Def. vs Stun +50
Dodge +115
Melee Def. +116
Ranged Def. +149
One-handed Melee Toughness +32
Melee Mitigation 3
Ranged Mitigation 3

Weapon skill mods:
Rifle speed +90
Rifle acc. +160
Rifle Acc. while moving +10
1-handed acc. +150
1-handed speed +90

Armor:
39% stun / 80+ base effectiveness stun mini suit
33%+ effectivenes imperial PSG's (you will need alot of em, I have atleast 4 out of a crate at all times)

Weapons:
Jawa Ion rifle 400+ max damage. (Stun)
T21 rifle 550+ damage. (Energy)
DXR6 rifle with high wound chance. (Acid)

Clothes:
Bandolier with stun/melee def (bio engineerd 4sct)
Pants with +25 wound treatment / +25 injury treatment (bio engineered 4sct)
4 socket gloves and shirt for tapes

Tapes arranged by the importance (total bonuses can be AA's or CA's):
+8 Rifle speed (should speed cap you with any rifle)
+25 Rifle Accuracy
+25 Rifle Accuracy while moving
+25 Dodge
+25 Block
+25 Fire resistance
+25 Disease resistance
+25 Poison resistance
+14 Melee Defense

Buffs:
Preferrably janta doc buffs applied in a faction base (can get up to 4k per stat) normal buffs go for little over 3k when applied from a faction base.
Disease and Poison resist buffs (faction base do not effect the str of these)
Entertainer Music and Dancer buffs (mind)

Food/Drink:
Vasarian brandy: 400+ str / 45+ mins and 50 or lower filling <- can drink 2 at once and the foodbar will get low enough to drink another two before first one wears off
Synthsteak: 35-45% dmg reduction, take a look at the # of attacks it provides, I prefer 37% dmg reduction with higher uses than 45% with much less uses becouse the lower one will offer more protection over time with less filling.
Wafers: mini version of synthsteak with only 2 filling, can pop these like candy once stomach full and cant use synth.
Pikatta Pie: 50% dodge chance on incoming attacks.
Air Cake: mini version of pikatta pie if too full for pikatta.
Muon Gold: Mind enhancing spice (watch out for the downer after this is gone)

On the video there are few things that do not apply:

1. Medicine use tapes dont work
2. Tumble to standing does not get you up with dizzy on you
3. People dont use gloves becouse it is smarter to save the hand slot for clothing gloves instead use bracer
4. intimidation does not seem to effect defenses just damage
5. you are limited to stim b's without medicine use tape you cant use stim c even if you pick xx1x medic box
6. I dont personally use canape often, I do have it in my inventory but rarely pop one due to the stomach filling.

Typical melee stacker

Master fencer (must have a GOOD stun bat otherwise this template is pointless)
Master brawler
Master (whatever melee prof suits you)

Shit against ranged opponents...brutal to jedi if played correctly and with correct group support

If you go special forces with a faction doc or entertainer and put /register in base and buff in the base you can get extra to your buffs.

Also if the base is in a city with Medical center specialization you get an extra +200 in the buff str also.

Ghorfas ruins has 2 rebel and 2 imperial bases set up in city limits and it's a medical city now so feel free to use them.

tell you what i hate pvp'n id like to do it but not knowing a good template to use stops me..id rather craft than pvp and i hate crafting so.

people keep mentioning templates ill start grinding one. i know im not the only lost person out there on it.
