***FIXED***HELP with Launching Game!

Hi I just downloaded the Launcher and everything following the "How to Connect" guide on both of my Laptops and i am getting the same problem on both, when i open the Awakening Launcher and then 'Click' start my screen starts flashing back and forth between a Black screen and desktop before getting the error message ""Direct3D could not be correctly initialized, Sometimes this will be fixed by rebooting your machine. If it still occurs after a fresh reboot, you may need to reinstall DirectX"""
LAPTOP 1-Windows Vista home premium SP2. My DirectX is Version 11.
LAPTOP 2-Windows 7 Professional SP1. My DirectX is Version 11.
and BOTH have NET version 4.0.030319.
i tried doing a windows update since its been awhile since i have been on either laptop and when i click Windows Update its starts checking for Updates and just never stops searching.

Any Help??

Make sure your screen resolution on your desktop and in setup In game launcher are the same then your good to go

I finally got it to work. i had tried changing the resolution before and it didnt work so i went through all the resolutions and finally found one that would work.
