Awakening is a community-driven project - not commercially owned or operated - meaning no staff members receive financial compensation. Founded by BigQEd, Cynar, and Incognito the project is a labor of love built to provide a faithful and enjoyable Pre-CU SWG experience.
Our aim is to keep Awakening alive and thriving for many years to come.
Financial Overview
Compared to many other SWG projects, Awakening is in a strong financial position. However, we sincerely appreciate all player contributions, which directly support essential expenses such as server hosting and infrastructure. Every donation - big or small - helps keep the server online and running smoothly. When donations fall short, our volunteer staff personally cover the gap.
Donation Recognition Titles
As a token of our appreciation, donors receive exclusive titles on both the forums and Discord based on cumulative contribution tiers. All amounts listed are in USD:
Forum Titles:
$1-10 - Force Sensitive
$11-20 - Initiate
$21-30 - Padawan
$31-50 - Jedi (Light/Dark)
$51-100 - Jedi Knight (Light/Dark)
$101-200 - Jedi Master (Light/Dark)
$201+ - CUSTOM TITLE (Up to 16 characters; subject to approval. Color options: Red or Blue)
Discord Roles:*
$1-200 - Donator
$201+ - CUSTOM TITLE (Up to 16 characters; must match your forum title and use Red or Blue as the name color)
NOTE: After donating, please submit a support ticket with the following information so we can assign your titles:
- Forum and Discord usernames
- PayPal email address
- Transaction ID
- Donation amount
Donations are cumulative - for example, donating $10 monthly will earn the Jedi Knight title in a year.
Monthly Donation Goal Incentive
We also run a community-wide XP bonus when monthly donation targets are met. The earlier the goal is reached, the greater the XP multiplier:
- Goal met on or before the 15th - +0.50x XP
- Goal met between the 16th-20th - +0.25x XP
- Goal met after the 20th - +0.10x XP
Our current monthly donation progress can be viewed on the launcher and forums and is typically updated every 24-48 hours.
