Awakening is a community-driven project, not commercially owned or operated, meaning no staff members receive compensation. It was founded by BigQEd, Cynar, and Incognito out of a shared passion to bring back a fun and faithful SWG Pre-CU server. Our goal is to continue providing this experience for many years to come!
Regarding our financial outlook: we're in a strong position compared to many other SWG projects. That said, we sincerely appreciate any contributions players are willing to make. Donations go directly toward covering essential costs such as server hosting, and they help the project move toward greater financial independence. Every donation, large or small, truly makes a difference. When funding falls short, staff members personally cover the remaining expenses.
To show our gratitude, we offer exclusive forum and Discord titles based on donation tiers. All brackets below are listed in U.S. dollars:
Forum Titles:
$1–10 donation - Title: Force Sensitive
$11–20 donation - Title: Initiate
$21–30 donation - Title: Padawan
$31–50 donation - Title: Jedi (Light/Dark)
$51–100 donation - Title: Jedi Knight (Light/Dark)
$101–200 donation - Title: Jedi Master (Light/Dark)
$201+ donation - Title: CUSTOM TITLE (limit 16 characters; subject to approval). Custom titles and names may appear in either Red or Blue.
Discord Roles:*
$1–200 donation - Title: Donator
$201+ donation - Title: CUSTOM TITLE (limit 16 characters; subject to approval). Title and name color must match the forum selection: Red or Blue.
NOTE: After donating, please submit a support ticket indicating your donation. Include your forum and Discord usernames, PayPal email, transaction ID, and donation amount (to help us match PayPal records). Titles will be updated accordingly, and your donation total will be cumulative. For example, donating $10 per month would earn the Jedi Knight title within a year.
Beyond these recognition titles, your contributions help cover the critical costs of keeping the server running. You can view our current monthly donation progress on both the launcher and the forums, which are updated approximately every 24-48 hours.
Additionally, we run a donation incentive program tied to a server-wide XP multiplier. When the monthly donation goal is reached, the bonus multiplier activates for the remainder of that month as follows:
- Goal met on or before the 15th - +0.50x XP
- Goal met between the 16th and 20th - +0.25x XP
- Goal met after the 20th - +0.10x XP
Note: Awakening’s base XP rate is 2.0x, so the maximum potential rate is 2.5x with the full donation bonus.
